Premier League giants Arsenal have now offered Italian outfit AS Roma the opportunity to sign England international Jack Wilshere on loan for this season, if the club is interested in signing the midfield superstar. The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is looking to offload the injury-prone star, as he does not believe Wilshere will get sufficient playing time in the current campaign, in order to continue his development if he stays at the Emirates Stadium. The Premier League giants have already signed Swiss international Granit Xhaka for their midfield roster this summer, who was impressive in the Euro 2016 tournament as well.
But Arsenal want Wilshere to leave only for a season long loan this summer, And they have no indication of selling the midfielder permanently
According to Sky Italia, the England international has been offered to Serie A side AS Roma. If Wilshere decides to move to the Stadio Olimpico, he would see play alongside former team-mate Wojciech Szczesny, who will spend yet another season on loan from Arsenal in Italy.
Also, the Gunners have a really good relationship with the Giallorossi, which might see the move go through.
It remains to be seen whether Roma will want to sign Wilshere before the transfer window slams shut on Wednesday night, as they look to strengthen their squad.
It is also unclear whether Wilshere would be keen on a switch to Italy’s top flight, though the move will give him better opportunities, if he does make the move away from the north London giants.
