Deal Done: Defensive Superstar Finally Completes His Move To Arsenal, As Arsene Wenger Signs Six This Summer

Reports has now finally confirmed that Premier League giants Arsenal have completed the signing of Germany’s World Cup winner Shkodran Mustafi from La Liga giants Valencia. The 24-year-old superstar spent a couple of years with the Spanish club, with a total of 64 league appearances to his name during his time there.

The former Everton man started his senior career at the Merseyside outfit, after growing as a player in the club’s academy and eventually spending two years with Serie A outfit Sampdoria.

The defender is at present on international duty and becomes the Gunners’ sixth signing of the current transfer window.

Along with recent signing Lucas Perez, Swiss international Granit Xhaka and youngsters Rob Holding, Takuma Asano and Kelechi Nwakali, Mustafi will now add some much needed quality at the back to Arsene Wenger’s side.

After the deal was done, the French manager in an interview stated, “He is at the right age. He has good experience. He is a very focused player who can play with the ball as well. We have taken a great player but have prepared well for the future.”

It is certain that the signing would be a huge boost for the north London giants, who are looking to win the Premier League title, if not more, this time around after a second spot finish last term.

The defender has not been assigned a squad number yet, which might be done in the upcoming days. Whether he can impress in the top flight of English football or not, remains to be seen.
