Match Report: Chelsea 3-2 Bristol Rovers, As Belgian Wonder Kid Scores Twice To Guide His Side To A Win

Michy Batshuayi hit a brace to help Chelsea survive a second-half scare from their opponents Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night. Former Juventus and Italy boss Antonio Conte was left grateful to his new £33m striker after the Belgian gave the Blues a vital lead, Following an impressive rally from the League One team. Batshuayi, signed from Marseille last month, and smashed his first Stamford Bridge goal on 29th minute from nine yards with a excellent pass from Nemanja Matic.

The Blues were made to work hard once again in the second half, however, when Pedro brought down Stuart Sinclair in the box three minutes after the break and striker Ellis Harrison rammed home the resulting penalty.
 
With this win Chelsea go marching into the next round of the EFL Cup and Conte will hope that his team can keep performing with the same energy and spirit in the upcoming days, as they get set to face off against .
