Gareth Bale Speaks His Mind Prior To Real Madrid’s Clash Against SD Eibar

As Real Madrid get ready to welcome SD Eibar to the Bernabeu on Sunday for their La Liga clash, former Tottenham man Gareth Bale has asked for a few things from his team-mates. The 27 year old winger is happy with how things ended last term and wants more of the same from the champions of Europe this time around as well.

The Welshman told ESPN“We need to be more consistent.”

“We had a very good end of the season last year, but we need to be better at the start and in the middle.”

“Ultimately, the most consistent team wins the league. We came very close last year – not close enough, but we are going to work harder as a team together. Hopefully, at the end of the season, we are lifting that trophy.”

With the demand for consistency being a top priority for both the player and manager Zinedine Zidane, hopefully the team can take the message in a positive way and start performing even better.

Injuries have been a slight concern at the start of the current campaign and it will be up to the bench to fill in any voids due to such concerns.

Real currently lead the points table in Spain with 14 point from 6 matches and lead their fierce domestic rivals Barcelona by one.

Luis Enrique’s side are looking to defend their title this season and it will be interesting to see how this intense battle ends this time around, with Los Blancos keen on adding yet another league title to their trophy cabinet.
