According to a recent report, Cristiano Ronaldo’s new contract is all done and finalized and the current champions of Europe are now just awaiting the right time to announce the deal. Elections at Real Madrid are on the cards now for the presidency, which will be held in 2017, which means that the news might be withheld to favour Florentino Perez’s needs.
For months, no one has come out with the details of the new deal, stating the exact number of years that it would extend his stay in Madrid for, though it has been said to be either two or three.
The La Liga giants have been now forced to offer him a new deal for various reasons, such as the fact that his current contract ends in 2018, the transfer ban and lastly due to the fact that, though both parties wanted to part ways, things did not work out for them.
Also, Ligue 1 champs Paris Saint-Germain were not quite keen to pay his huge fee and Premier League giants Manchester United were not really part of the equation.
Due to this, Ronaldo decided that moving away from Spain was not the right thing and it was best to remain at the Bernabeu and enjoy his time at the club, winning more titles with the Los Blancos.
There is no doubt that the attacker has been frustrated in recent times with the things going around and it is certain that he will want to ignore such stuff and focus on his football in the days to come.
