Manchester United reportedly are not looking to sell 27 year old Armenian who they bought at the start of the season. The £27m rated man arrived at Old Trafford from Dortmund in July with a glittering reputation. He scored 11 goals and created 82 chances in season 2015/16 at Dortmund, while being honoured as Bundesliga player of the year.
However, since his first start in Premier League against Manchester City back in September, he has not featured for Manchester United leaving fans confused over his situation at the club.
He had been declared fully fit by Jose Mourinho prior to Burnley clash and was seen training alone at AON Training Complex on Monday.
Reports emerged about his imminent return to Germany just few months after joining Red Devils.
However, rumours seem to be brushed off recently with Jose Mourinho’s statement, “Some players find it very easy whereas others need more time. They need time to feel the intensity, the aggression, the game without the ball and the competitiveness.”
“The realities are often different, particularly in terms of the competitiveness. It doesn’t matter who you are against, you have to play at the highest level otherwise you will not be able to do it. Micki needs time to become the top player he knows he can be.”
United’s boss has certainly hinted that we can see Henrikh playing regular football at Old Trafford very soon, though whether that happens or not shall be seen once the teams get back to action this weekend.
