3 Reasons Why Arsenal Might Just Have A Chance Of Beating Bayern Munich In The Champions League This Season

It was the round of 16 draws of the Champions League for this season and guess whom Arsenal are all set to face once again this year?? Well, as most of us had already guessed it, its Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich once again. Like that was anything new or even surprising, as the Gunners have faced the German giants already twice in the last three seasons and will now once again be head to head for a third time in four.

The kings of “unexplainable misery” will once again get a chance to face off against their arch European rivals in the decade or so and will want to produce a better result over the course of the two legged encounter.

One post by a fan read as:

yes

One thing that is new this time around though is the confidence that the north London outfit has shown so far at times and with manager Arsene Wenger, on the verge of an exit from the Emirates, the result could be a different one.

Well, being a realist over the years, I have clearly understood and accepted that Wenger has become “the idiot” now, from the so called legend that he was and could have ended his long career with the club in superb fashion.

His legacy will always be intact as a manager who played a super style of football, but his inability to adapt with respect to certain aspects of the game, has hurt his reputation quite a bit in recent times.

However, speaking about the game in hand, here are three reasons why I feel Arsenal have a chance of going through this time around:

3. The “Carlo Ancelotti” Factor :

Though the footballing fans may love the Italian boss, who has won it all during his time as a player and a manager impressing with clubs across Europe, for some reason I personally feel that he is not the right man for the Bayern job, which could lead to his downfall. Yes, I accept that even Pep made a mockery of the Bayern team in the European competition, after impressing domestically and though “Don Carlo” is definitely an upgrade to that, it is my opinion that he is not really the kind of manager that Bayern would like to have amongst their ranks for too long.
