Arsenal fans haven’t had a great time this season and its probably the worst one in so many years, as they didn’t earn qualification for the Champions League for the next term. The Gunners has now not won Premier League for 13 years and had to settle with the FA Cup this year (of course winning it the 13th time). The Gooners became more ecstatic when their long time manager Arsene Wenger was given the club’s charge for another two years.
Certainly Wenger does not want to finish his career on a bad note and this might be a reason he did not resign from his job, but it is really nice to see how loyal the club’s board is to the manager, allowing him to stay at the club for another two years, despite not having won the Premier League for such a long time.
However, the fans have went crazy when they heard the news of Serge Gnabry’s move to Bayern Munich. Gnabry was sold by Arsenal to Werder Bremen in 2016.
He was not given much time in the Wenger’s playing XI and had to move to Bundesliga, though has now signed with the champions of Germany.
Due to this, the fans have once again started criticizing Wenger for his poor decision to let go of the attacker.
It is likely that the fans will have difficulty in understanding that a player which had to leave their club for lack of playing time joins a club of a higher caliber after a year.
It is not looking good for Wenger as he might not be able to hold Alexis Sanchez in the side next season.
