A recent report suggests that former Chelsea goalie Asmir Begovic wants John Terry to join him at Bournemouth, prior to the start of the new season, as stated by him in a recent interview. The keeper, who could not really impress at Stamford Bridge now wants the ex Blues’ skipper to make the move, as he is a free agent at the moment.
Begovic, who made a £10m move away from west London and joined the Cherries, now wants the defender at his new club as well.
Though, Championship side Aston Villa look keen to add him to their ranks, the idea of still playing in the top flight of English football, might be tempting enough for the veteran star.
It might be the case that Terry might actually consider the offer made to him, as he is already 36 and towards the end of a really successful career.
The transfer market has already been full of crazy rumours and this is just the beginning of a summer, bound to be full of crazy deals going around for sure.
Things looked good for Antonio Conte and his team in the league, in the Italian manager’s debut season in England and it will be interesting to see which players he adds to the current squad in the days to come.
One thing is for certain, Terry has done his part in leaving behind a legacy for the Blues and he shall always be in the hearts of the fans, irrespective of whichever club he joins.
