Breaking: Liverpool Manage To Sign Defensive Superstar, As Reds Strengthen Squad

The Story So Far-
There is one area of the pitch that Liverpool football club have been struggling in over the past few seasons, in defense, and despite recruiting Ragner Klavan and Joel Matip last season, they were still playing with James Milner, deployed on the left side of defense.
It seems very unreal how bad the problem for Liverpool is in the left-back region with a make-shift attacking midfielder, having to operate in that zone.
In order to solve this problem, Klopp had Robertson on his radar for quite some time, after a deal for England U-19 Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham failed.
As Hull City were relegated from the Premier League last season, Robertson was one of their standout players as he impressed in the left back part of the field.
Robertson joined Hull from Dundee United in 2014 for a fee of £2.85m on a three year contract and he quickly established himself in the side as the first-choice left-back.
The Scot helped Hull qualify for the Premier league from the Championship. He is described as a player who is technically effective and quick-paced.
His impressive performances at Hull last season caught the eye of Manchester City as well who were in with a sniff to sign the Scottish international, until Liverpool finally made an agreement and pushed forward with the details.
With Alberto Moreno falling out with Klopp and James Milner being a far from permanent solution in defense, Robertson’s natural and precision could be the remedy to the problems at the Merseyside outfit, where he could begin the season as the first choice left-back.
One of the Hull City supporters Joel Meloir was quoted saying, “I feel Robertson can develop into a good full-back and at the reported £8m price, this is a good piece of business for Liverpool,” Meloir explained, “This is a step up for Robertson and he certainly has the attributes to be a success.”

Deal done now!!
The Reds have now completed the signing of the 23 year Scotland international, the player they were keeping tabs on for quite some time, with the hopes of adding him to their current squad. He is now Jurgen Klopp’s third signing, after the addition of two attack minded players, namely Dominic Solanke and Salah.
The fee for the player has not been revealed to the media, though it is said to be around £8m and if the German manager can make good use of the player, it could be a deal totally worth the money.
The player will be wearing the number 26 shirt at the club and could help the Kops fortify their back-line and end their struggles to find a solution to the “left-back” problem.
Robertson already has 15 international caps to his name and still has a bright future ahead of him at Anfield now. Hopefully, he can perform well for the team from the top flight of English football and leave his mark at the club.
