Why Manchester United Should Win This Game Against Stoke City?

Jose Mourinho

The Red Devils wil look to continue their 100% win record so far this season. José Mourhino’s side have so far been nothing but impressive as they have not only won all the three Premier League games but have also managed to keep three clean sheets at the same time, Manchester United find themselves on top of the league table with 9 points. They are obviously now one of the favourites to clinch the league title. Although they now face a tough challenge in the form of Stoke who on their day can upset any of big 5.

Stoke are always one tough side to beat especially at home, The Potters will also look to get a positive result from this fixture. Mark Hughes side has already beaten a league giant this season and will look to do the same against Mourhino’s side and in the process will look to go with the same ‘ Samsh and Grab’ strategy as they did against the Gunners.

Team News.

Stoke City FC.

The Potters have more than half of the first team players injured, almost 8 of them injured and will definitely sit out for a few more weeks. Rayan Showcross was already doubtful for this fixture and was eventually sidelined due to a back injury. Chelsea loanee Kurt Zouma was also a doubt due to an ankle injury, but did start. Choupo Moting had suffered a hamstring injury and might return by next week, though he did play too.

Midfielder Darren Fletcher is also going to miss this game as he had endured a knee injury and will be fit by next week, but was available for this one. M Diouf is also doubtful for the game due to a knee injury and was expected to return for the game though.

Attacker Ibrahim Afellay was also ruled out for this game due to a knee injury and will unfortunately sit out for more than a month a two. S Ireland is also not available for this game due to a broken leg. Apart from these their aren’t any new fresh injury concerns for Mark Hughes side.

Manchester United FC.

The Red Devils have only four first team player’s injured. Ashley Young is doubtful for this game as he is yet recover completely from an injury and they have a few concerns due to his fitness. Luke Shaw also has a similar problem and the left back to is doubtful game. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss half of the season and will only be available in the January next year. Defender Marcos Rojo is also ruled out till January due to a ACl injury.
Jose Mourhino’s side have no fresh injury concerns apart from these four.

Playing Eleven.

Stoke City (3-4-3)

Goalkeeper: Jack Butland.
Defender’s: Cameron,Kurt Zouma, Wimmer.
Midfielder’s: Diouf, Fletcher, Joe Allen, Erik Pieters.
Attacker’s: Shaqiri, Choupo Moting, Jese Rodriguez.

Manchester United  (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper: David De Gea.
Defender’s: Valencia, Baily, Jones, Darmian.
Central defensive midfielder’s: Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic.
Attacking Midfielder’s: Herrera, Mkhtiriyan, Martial.
Center Forward: Romelu Lukaku.

My Score Prediction:

Stoke City 0 – 2 Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been in top form and it will be tough for a team like Stoke City to contain them for 90 minutes. Now matter how hard the Potters try, the attack that the Manchester based side possesses will eventually break through their defensive line. It will be tough for the hosts to them get back into the game, unless they produce something really special and that is where Jose Mourinho’s team will take the match away.
