Breaking : All That You Need To Know About Chelsea’s Trip To Rome

Chelsea will visit to Italy to play against Roma in the Champions League Group Stage match. In the last match of the group stage these two teams had met each other at Stamford Bridge.  The match had ended with a scoreline of 3-3. The brace from Edin Dzeko was cancelled by the brace from Eden Hazard in the eventful match.

Chelsea are in good form after the draw against Roma. They had won against Watford and Bournemouth in back to back two weeks in the Premier League. They had also won against Everton in the round of 16 clash in the Carabao Cup. They will play against Manchester United in the upcoming weekend. So they will try to enhance their confidence level for that match by winning the difficult away fixture against Roma on Tuesday.

On the other hand, Roma are also in good form after that draw against Chelsea in the previous Champions League Group Stage match. They had won against Bologna, Crotone and Torino in Serie A with 1-0 margin in each match. Edin Dzeko and El Shaarawy’s goal scoring form will surely give Antonio Conte some headache before the important game on Tuesday in the Champions League.

Team News :

Roma :

Patrik Schick and Gregoire Defrel are doubtful against Chelsea on Tuesday night in the Champions League Group Stage match. El Shaarawy and Kevin Strootman are also having some injury problems. But they are expected to feature for some minutes in this match.

Allison will start in the Roma Goal against Chelsea. Bruno Peres, Juan Jesus, Fazio and Kolarov will start in the defense of Roma. De Rossi, Strootman and Nainggolan are expected to play in midfield for Roma while Florenzi, Dzeko and Perotti will start as the attackers in the Roma line up. They are expected to play with a 4-3-3 formation.

Chelsea :

N’Golo Kante will be expected to feature some minutes of the match after coming back from a hamstring injury. Danny Drinkwater is also able to play when the team will need him. Otherwise all players are fit to play this important away match against Roma on Tuesday.

Thibaut Courtois will start in Chelsea Goal in this match. Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill are the three expected defenders to start in central defense. Zappacosta and Alonso will play in two wing-back positions. Fabregas and Bakayoko are expected to take place in the heart of the midfield while Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata and Pedro are expected to lead the Chelsea attack from the upfront.

Possible Starting Eleven :

Roma :(4-3-3)
Goalkeeper : Allison
Defenders :  Bruno Peres, Juan Jesus, Fazio, Kolarov.
Midfielders : De Rossi, Strootman, Nainggolan.
Attackers : Florenzi, Perotti, Dzeko.

Chelsea :(3-4-3)
Goalkeeper : Courtois
Defenders : Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill.
Midfielders : Zappacosta, Fabregas, Bakayoko, Alonso.
Attackers : Hazard, Morata, Pedro.

My Score Prediction :
Roma 1-2 Chelsea

The Blues main focus will be the fixture at the weekend against Manchester United, as they look to find their way back to the top of the Premier League table. Conte will want to win that game, though it will be crucial that they do not lose against the Romans, as they will want to keep the positive momentum going, as they head into the match against the Red Devils.
