Chelsea Boss Antonio Conte Makes This Huge Comment About His Future

What Conte Had To Say-

Antonio Conte Plans Return To Italy Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has told reporters that he wants to return to Italy soon despite having a successful spell at Chelsea in his first year at the helm. The Blues’ manager won the Premier League in his debut season with Chelsea but has claimed that he wants a move back to his native country. Conte was the manager of the national squad of Italy from 2014 till 2016 before moving to Chelsea the following year.

This was the first time that Conte managed a football club outside of his national country, having managed Azzero, Bari, Atlanta, Sienna, and Juventus. But with just one and a half year into his time at England, Conte has openly admitted that he wants to get back to managing an Italian club. Conte helped the Blues win their title after a 10th place finish the previous year.

The 48-year-old stated, “I have nostalgia for Italy. I did not have it in my head to stay abroad for so long. Once I have had some more nice experiences I will return to Italy, for sure. I don’t know when, but the goal is to do that. ‘Foreseeing the future is always difficult. Ours is the most precarious work as you are in one place today and tomorrow you are in another.”

“I have the will to finish a project, and then look for the right continuation of that. ‘The English experience has greatly enriched me, and I’d like to carry on as manager in the future.”

Chelsea are currently on an extremely good run of form having beaten Atletico Madrid in Spain and are currently third in the Premier League.

His side lost to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the weekend in a close 1-0 encounter and were quite poor on the pitch.

Further talking about the Serie A, Conte added, “I miss it, that’s beyond doubt. Italy is my homeland, so once I have had some good experiences, formative experiences, important and life-changing experiences, I’ll be back. I don’t know when but that’s the aim.”

“It’s always difficult to predict the future. Us managers have the most precarious job of all. Today you’re working, tomorrow you’re out. I want to succeed, to finish one project and make the right decision about the next. This experience has given me so much, has improved me so much, but perhaps in the future, I won’t be a manager. Perhaps I’ll work as a director of football. I don’t know.”

Editor’s Word : What Next For Chelsea?

The champions of England were not at their best against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge and will want to improve on their performance from that game. They have been putting in some solid performances after the initial defeat in the Community Shield and on the opening day of the new season and will want to play better football, as they are still very much in the hunt for more silverware.

Conte will want his team to be fired up for the upcoming fixtures, though the international break will be a relief for them with the Morata injury that happened in the game against Pep Guardiola’s side.
