All That You Need To Know About Arsenal’s Match Against Manchester City

Arsenal will visit the Etihad Stadium to play against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday. Both teams will try to win this match for different reasons. Manchester City will try to maintain their top position in the League Table while Arsenal will try to get into the top four in the League Table.

Arsenal are currently situated at 5th position in the League Table with 19 points in 10 encounters so far. They had drawn against Red Star Belgrade with a scoreline of 0-0 on Thursday which had ensured their qualification in the next round in the Europa League. So they will now play their natural game against City in free mind with attacking intents.

Manchester City are now in the top of the League Table with 28 points from 10 matches so far. They will not wish to lose points from this match to retain their position. They would be boosted with confidence from the win against Napoli with a margin of 4-2 in the Champions League on Wednesday. Sergio Aguero is also on fire after reaching the milestone of highest goalscorer for Manchester City of all time with 178 goals with his name.

Team News :

Manchester City :

The Blues have no fresh concerns. Benjamin Mendy is a long term absentee. The Skipper Vincent Kompany is still a doubt due to a calf problem. Pep will prefer to play with a 4-3-3 formation with Ederson standing in the City Goal. Walker and Delph will play at two sides of the defense while Stones and Otamendi will pair up in the central defense. De Bruyne, Fernandinho and David Silva will play in the heart of the midfield for Manchester City while Sterling, Aguero and Sane will lead the line for City from upfront.

Arsenal :

Arsenal’s  Sead Kolasinac and David Ospina could feature in the game. Calum Chambers is unlikely to feature. Santi Cazorla is long-term absentee. Danny Welbeck and Shkodran Mustafi will be out due to injury.

Arsene Wenger is playing with a 3-4-3 formation in this whole season. Petr Cech will start in the Arsenal Goal against Manchester City. Monreal, Mertesacker and Koscielny will be playing in the central defense for Arsenal. Bellerin and Kolasinac will play as two wingbacks while Xhaka and Ramsey will feature in the heart of the midfield for Arsenal. Sanchez, Lacazette and Ozil will be leading Arsenal from the upfront.

Possible Starting Eleven :

Manchester City :(4-3-3)

Goalkeeper : Ederson

Defenders : Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Delph.

Midfielders : De Bruyne, Fernandinho, David Silva.

Attackers : Sane, Aguero, Sterling.

Editor’s View:

Though Manchester City do have the advantage going into this game, the rival teams and their fans will he hoping that the Gunners can pull off a win in this fixture and make the title race a bit more open, with the Citizens leading comfortably at the moment. Wenger will also want his team to deliver on the night and leave their mark on the Premier League title race.

Another loss for them would be a huge blow and it will be quite tough for them to recover.
