Shocking: What Does The Future Hold For This High Quality Arsenal Star?

The Aston Villa Interest?

Second Division club Aston Villa tried their best in the summer transfer window to make a cheeky move for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere. The England international will be seemingly be joining Chelsea legend John Terry who joined the Championship club this season after a deal is agreed with Arsenal. Villa manager Steve Bruce is a big fan of Wilshere and with the midfielder entering the last few months of his contract at the Emirates, there were a lot of speculations over Wilshere’s future.

The 25 year old had played his first game in almost a year in a Gunners jersey with the club’s U-23’s as they faced Derby County in the Premier League 2 competition and has not been given too much football since then.

Wilshere suffered another huge injury setback when he clashed with Tottenham’s Harry Kane in April, while playing for Bournemouth on loan. In a rather underwhelming season at the Vitality last term, Wilshere showed a few signs of class, although couldn’t be too effective with the players that were surrounding him.

Arsenal now has Granit Xhaka and Francis Coquelin to pick from, to play in the deep-lying midfield role, which was once occupied by Wilshere. The England international has been unfortunately hit by injuries throughout his career, stuttering his progress from time to time.

Against Derby, Wilshere lasted 75 minutes at St George’s Park but was still lacking match fitness and an eye for a pass. Although it is understandable it will take him a while to get back to his best after a long injury lay-off after he returned to full-training just earlier this month.

The Arsenal youth academy product is still young and possesses a lot of talent. His classy passing abilities and his robust nature in tackles makes him a real energetic force in the center of the pitch.

However, according to me, I think it would be better if Wilshere spends some more time in the second division before returning to Arsenal. It also depends if Steve Bruce wants to sign the left-footed play-maker on loan, or permanently.

The Recent Claims-

Martin Keown believes that the Gunners’ loss to Manchester City means that it is high time to bring back the Englishman to the first team and build the team around his quality play. Honestly, there are a host of clubs which would be dying to sign the play-maker and be hoping that Wenger let’s go of him, eventually.

However, there is a section of players, management and even the fans, who have the notion that the 25 year old superstar still has a lot more to give to the club.

Things are not going his way though at the moment, with Livermore and Cork getting calls to the national side, ahead of him.

Also, Ozil has demanded the right to wear the number 10 jersey for the north London giants, as part of his new contract negotiations.

Well, things are not going his way, though the only way he can make things happen and revive his career now is by staying fit and working on getting his form back.
