Manchester United Boss Jose Mourinho Eyeing Shocking Move For Chelsea Star, With Real Madrid Interested Too

The Manchester United fans may be in dreamland if this sensational move takes place, in a surprising tale of events, Jose Mourinho is currently looking to sign Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard to bolster his chances of winning the Premier League. The pair worked together at Chelsea where they won the League Cup and Premier League in the 2014-15 season.

Hazard has been one of Chelsea’s star players since arriving at Stamford Bridge in 2012 from Lille for a fee of £32m. The Belgian star is considered as one of the best players in the world currently and is wanted by top European clubs such as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. He was at his brilliant best when Chelsea won the Premier League last term and played an instrumental figure in manager Antonio Conte’s first season in charge of the club.

With Hazard refusing to sign a lucrative contract extension with Chelsea worth close to a £300,000 a week deal it’s quite certain that he wants a move away from London. Hazard has scored eight goals and notched up seven assists this season having featured for Conte 23 times this season. And despite his rich vein of form and quality a move away Chelsea is certainly on the cards after the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.

His close dribbling skills and ball control has attracted attention and praise from Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and the Frenchman has made Hazard his primary target in the summer transfer window. The Los Blancos are reportedly considering him a replacement for either Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo which shows how desperately they want the 26-year-old Chelsea talisman.

However, the Red Devils manager Mourinho has now stated that he is quite confident of landing Eden Hazard in the summer transfer window. After having spent close to £90 million on former Everton striker Romelu Lukaku last summer, Mourinho is ready to break the bank once again and spend close to $120m on Hazard.

Having fallen 11 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City, 2nd place United will look to add re-enforcements soon to strengthen their squad. The Europa League winners had failed to bring in a star winger at the end of the summer transfer window after a move for Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic didn’t go well with the two clubs. But now with Hazard on United’s radar, the Chelsea play-maker would definitely add quality to Mourinho’s attacking department.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain will also face stiff competition from United as Mourinho’s mastermind may influence Hazard to join the Red side of Manchester. And Conte will do anything in his abilities to refuse the star winger from a move away. Certainly, they do not want another asset of their club joining a direct Premier League rival as its too much of a threat to themselves.

A similar case was Nemanja Matic, who joined United this summer as he made the move away from Stamford Bridge, though this will be one deal that neither Antonio Conte, nor the west London outfit will want to go through with.
