Manchester United And Tottenham Get Major Update On The Future Of This Real Madrid Star

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has been linked with a move back to the Premier League at the end of the summer, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United being favorites to sign the Welshman. The English duo is keen on strengthening their respective squads to challenge for the Premier League for next season.

Gareth Bale has been linked with a return to the Premier League before, but it seems more likely now than ever. The 28-year-old began his career with Southampton as a left-back and moved to Tottenham in 2007 as he upgraded his position to an attacking winger, the impressive performances in the attacking half of the pitch lured interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid in 2013 and Bale made the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Since joining the Los Blancos back in 2013 for a transfer fee of €100m, Bale has been immense helping them win the Champions League in the first season at the club. He also scored the winning goal in the final during extra time against Atletico Madrid as their local rivals won the game 4-1. He also scored an unbelievable goal in the Copa Del Rey final against Barcelona to win it for Real Madrid and was part of the Madrid side that won the Champions League back to back as well as the La Liga title.

However, all this success still hasn’t guaranteed a starting berth for Bale because the Spanish giants are planning a massive exodus of player in the summer with Bale being one of them. The 28-year-old winger has been struggling with injuries this season as Madrid is languishing 3rd in the La Liga table. And the Madrid board is now preparing for life after Bale, with youngsters like Marco Asensio, Isco, Lucas Vasquez and Mateo Kovacic in their ranks. Bale has found it difficult to get back his first-team spot due to the impressive young talent Madrid have at their disposal.

Spurs would welcome the return of their long-lost superstar as he can bring pace, quality, and energy into Tottenham’s attack and is far superior to any other Spurs player. Manager Mauricio Pochettino has been disappointed with his wide players and would definitely grab the chance to sign Bale in the summer. England striker Harry Kane would score a lot more goals than what he does now if Bale rejoins Tottenham

Manchester United too, have lacked any energy in their attack despite signing Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez in the winter transfer window, Jose Mourinho still believes that his side needs more firepower. The Portuguese boss was linked with Ivan Perisic at the start of the season but failed to negotiate any deal with Inter Milan, but Bale is surely an upgrade to the inconsistent Perisic and already has the experience of playing in the Premier League.

It’s hard to believe that Bale will be axed in the summer by Real Madrid; there will be plenty of suitors across Europe for the speedy attacker as Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will look to battle it out for his signature.
