Revealed: What Does The Future Hold For This High Quality Chelsea Star?

Antonio Conte could consider selling £33m striker Michy Batshuayi, who is out for a loan spell when the summer transfer window opens and may be will look out for a replacement. The Belgian international, who is looking for regular football in the second half of the season to book a World Cup spot, would be happy if he gets to complete a permanent deal with his new team Borussia Dortmund, after he has showcased amazing form, since making the move to the Bundesliga.

Batshuayi was been sidelined by Conte this season at Stamford Bridge and the majority of his appearances had come as a substitute.

The initial form of Alvaro Morata this season has also prevented Batshuayi from holding down a starting spot in the squad.

The ex-Marseille poacher has scored only two league goals this term and didn’t seem to be a key part of Conte’s plans.

West Ham United were keen last season to pick this 24 year old striker and other clubs were also set back then to join the race. He had come on as a sub against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, before the final nail in the coffin and he left west London.

Batshuayi was left on the bench as the Blues fell to a shock 1-0 defeat against the Hammers eventually.

Marko Arnautovic scored the only goal for the Londoners in the  game as the Italian manager’s team failed to impress in east London.

The Chelsea main-man had stated back then that his team’s title defence was over, explaining: “This is the fourth defeat this season in 16 games. When you have this stat, it’s impossible to think you’re in the title race.”

The London based club were supposedly interested in striking a deal for the ex-Marseille star, but Conte decided to keep hold onto him.

Apart from them, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Stoke City were believed to have been interested in lining up offers for the 24 year old in the January transfer window.

The Premier League champs are now just alive in the FA Cup, with the hopes of possibly winning a title and it seems highly unlikely that they will finish in the top four.
On the other hand, Batshuayi is getting what he wanted in Germany and a return doesn’t really seem to be on the cards.
There is one possible condition that the player might now make his return to the Bridge, though it will be interesting to see whether that happens or not.
Conte’s future at the club is also a doubt, which does increase the chances of the player’s return if the former Juventus manager leaves at the end of the season.
The fans really adored the start whom they called “The Batman” with affection and admiration and would not want to lose him, especially after seeing and knowing what he can do on the pitch.
He had made vital contributions in the team’s title win in Conte’s debut season and losing him at a time when Chelsea need to add more resources would be a huge loss. Hopefully, things work out well for both the club and the player.
