Breaking: Top Six European Clubs Battle For This Manchester United Outcast

Jose Mourinho

Is Manchester United doing the wrong thing by allowing Marouane Fellaini to leave the club this summer? There are a host of clubs who are keeping tabs on the Belgian international despite being considered a flop with the Premier League giants.

Fellaini began his career at Standard Liege back in 2006 and was picked up by David Moyes at Premier League club Everton where he made a big name for himself in England.

Fellaini was one of the standout players under Moyes at Goodison Park and the duo became a hit at the Blue half of Merseyside.

After Sir Alex Ferguson retired from Manchester United back in 2013, he appointed Moyes to take over the reins at Old Trafford and the Scotsman made sure he brought in Marouane Fellaini along with him from Everton.

However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the duo at Manchester United as they became victim to scrutiny because of poor performances and results at the Theater Of Dreams.

Moyes was sacked just 10 months into the United job but Fellaini fought hard for his spot and remained at the club. But despite his best efforts, the big frizzy-haired superstar never managed to acquire himself as a fan favorite among the United faithful.

This has led to Fellaini not feeling welcomed at Manchester and has opted for a move away from the club even though his manager Jose Mourinho has publicly pleaded for him to extend his contract.

Fellaini has never had the flair neither the skill that most Belgian football players are born with but he is extremely versatile and effective at what he does.

The former Toffee’s man is a combative box-to-box midfielder who always puts in a shift whenever he wears the club’s jersey.

Fellaini is never shy of keeping hold of the ball and using his physicality in order for the better of the team, a tall and strong man who is a huge threat aerially and used as a defensive midfielder Fellaini can be used as a central midfielder at the base of the diamond.

As a matter of fact, Fellaini had a great start for United this season after struggling with injuries that had a stop-start effect on his career which made the fans turn on his once again.

However, as Fellaini discusses his departure from United, there are six potential clubs that want to swoop up the 30-year-old midfielder and secure his services according to his agent.

Serie A champions Juventus are currently frontrunners to lure Fellaini at Turin as the two are parties are in the process of negotiating his wage deal.

Fellaini is currently on a £80,000 a week deal at Manchester United but could demand a higher fee from the club that he moves to in the summer.

Bar Paris Saint Germain who is also interested in Fellaini there is Monaco, Besiktas, West Ham United and Leicester City who are also interested in Fellaini’s signature and he would certainly manage to get more games under his belt if he plays at any of the last four clubs, which demand main traits of physicality from their midfielders.
