Real Madrid Star Wanted By Manchester United And Liverpool, Who Will Sign?

The Red Devils are ready to swoop in for Real Madrid superstar Lucas Vazquez and poach the star winger away from the clutches of Liverpool this summer transfer window.  Vazquez has hinted at a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu and wants more game time to prove his talents.

Since taking over Manchester United back in the summer of 2016, Jose Mourinho has spent heavily on transfers at the club. The United boss broke the transfer record back when he signed midfield ace Paul Pogba from Serie A giants Juventus two seasons ago for a price of €105m. Romelu Lukaku was also brought in at Old Trafford last summer for £75m and the likes of Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic Eric Bailey also did not come for a cheap price. However, the club is set to spend big again this summer in order to bolster their forward options to title local neighbors Manchester City. With Anthony Martial, Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick set to depart Old Trafford Mourinho will be running short of midfielders at the club.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is also in dire need of replacements in their squad because of a title push. After spending massively on Virgil Van Dijk, the German boss has strengthened his side’s back line and is now on the lookout for attackers to add more goals to his already super fire powering front line. A long-term injury to English midfielder Alex Oxlade Chamberlain means that Klopp will be without an attacking midfielder at the start of next season and has therefore looked into the transfer market to find a replacement.

Lucas Vazquez is one of the most talented attacking wingers in Europe at the moment but still hasn’t cemented his place in the Los Blancos starting eleven. The Spaniard has scored eight times already this season and has notched up 16 assists this season in 27 appearances across all competitions. But in his limited opportunities, the 26-year-old has heavily impressed at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Merseyside club is looking to increase his wages from what he earns at the Spanish capital and Vazquez is tied down at Madrid until 2021. But the problem with Vazquez is that both the Premier League giants will have a tough task at convincing him to leave the club. A couple of months ago, Vazquez was quoted saying, My dream has always been to play for Real Madrid. When they proposed [the return] to me it was like seeing a lifetime’s work rewarded.I am very happy at Real Madrid, it is the team that formed me as a player and I hope I can stay for many years.”

Vazquez has won two Champions League trophies and one La Liga title ever since returning to Madrid from his loan spell at Espanyol. But limited opportunities to play have never given him a run of games to prove his real worth.

I think that Vazquez should leave Real Madrid to play for a club where he could play more regularly. Liverpool will be very much interested to buy this star player in the summer transfer window.
