David Luiz’s future has been up in the air for quite a while now and recent reports suggest that the Brazilian might have to part ways with the Blues in order to get his career back on track. The former Paris Saint Germain defender doesn’t have a share good rapport with the current Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte and the Italian prefers youngster Andreas Christensen over the experienced Brazilian.
This clearly indicates that if Conte is still in charge at the Stamford Bridge next season Luiz may find it hard to get into the first team and could very well be forced to look elsewhere for more first team opportunities.
However, that’s certainly won’t be the case as the Blues are already shortlisting candidates to replace former Juventus man Antonio Conte and his compatriot and current Napoli manager Maurizo Sarri has emerged as a favourite to take over the hot seat at the Stamford Bridge next season.
Sarri has done a tremendous job at Napoli since taking over from current Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez in 2015. Chelsea are looking to bring in the Italian so he can instill his beautiful style of play at the Stamford Bridge so the Blues can challenge for major honours.
Kaldiou Koulibaly is also heavily being linked to make a switch to Chelsea and reports suggest that the Blues might offer out of favour central defender David Luiz to Napoli in order to land the Senegalese international.
Chelsea haven’t had a great season this year and to be honest Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City outperformed and dominated every single team in the League and there wasn’t any way to stop them. Conte’s men are also in danger of missing out on Champions League football next season altough they can still play in Europe next season but it would be in the Europa League.
The Blues still have a chance to win a silverware this season as they prepare take on Manchester United in the FA Cup finals on 19th of May, Winning the FA cup won’t really secure Conte’s position at the club and Abrahamovic has made it clear that he wants a total revamp of the squad and probably in the management too, As he looks set to bring in fresh new players.
Chelsea are looking to add quality players to their ranks and increase squad depth and bringing in a new center back is a must and this is where they can look to bring in a home grown player who has good knowledge of the Premier League rather than getting in a foreigner.
Harry Maguire is being tipped to make a switch to London, He can definitely strike a great long term partnership with Andreas Christensen and Maguire has certainly been in great form this season, He has all the abilities to play for any of the top six club and the Blues can outbid any club intrested in the 25 year old English international. Now we have to wait till the end of the summer transfer window to watch the whole situation.
