Barcelona Make £50m Bid For This Chelsea Star, Though Blues Reject Offer

La Liga champions Barcelona have made a £50m offer for Chelsea’s Willian, though the west London outfit have rejected the offer, as it has been confirmed now. The report comes from the Daily Mail, which suggests that though the west London side might consider selling the player in the near future, they are not happy with the price that is being offered for his services. This would mean that the club from Spain would be try harder and be patient with the Blues, if they wish to get the deal done.

It was being suggested that the representatives of the Brazilian International were in Barcelona, with rumours claiming the they were there to have talks with the Catalan giants.

Ernesto Valverde’s side won the La Liga and the domestic cup double, though it seems that they are interested in signing more players now. William would be the perfect choice for them, as we can play along side his compatriot Philippe Coutinho and this has ignited their interest in his services.

The relationship between Antonio conte and his finger was not on the best of terms and he was being linked with a move to Manchester United as well, with rumours of his reunion with former boss Jose Mourinho.

The Red Devils also feel that they can offer him regular football and utilize his services much better, as they wish to win more titles after a trophyless campaign.

A lot of big players are set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the World Cup, though the fans would be hoping that he does not move away, as he is a crucial asset to the team.

The Italian manager is all set to leave the Londoners and with that being said it would be a huge loss to lose such a crucial player as well.

On the other hand, Barcelona are looking for more players who can help them in the Champions League in the near future and they consider the Blues’ star as one such player.

Though the player has not really been able to impress so far in the World Cup in Russia, the club is aware of the quality that he possesses and will try their best to try and sign him.

Chelsea also will not be looking to sell the player until they can sign suitable replacements for him and that has not been the case so far.

The club is at present busy trying to sort things out with regards to their manager problems and will have to wait for Conte to be relieved of his duties and then consider what the new manager wants as well.

If Sarri does take over the club and he does wish to retain the Brazilian international’s services, the London based club might opt against a sale. However, if he does feel that the player does not make it to his long-term plans, they will surely prefer to sell to the highest bidder, though selling to United can surely cost them somewhere down the line.

A really interesting transfer saga is on the card and it will be interesting to see how this one eventually ends.
