Midfielder To Leave Chelsea, How Will It Impact Sarri’s Side?

After the end of the second week of Premier League, the defending champions are still at the top position where the former champions are at third. Chelsea have inaugurated this season with a brand new manager and brand new playing tactics. The former manager Antonio Conte was defensive, where the new manager Maurizio Sarri is aggressive and like to play attacking football. Chelsea have won both the matches and kicked off the domestic league in high colours so far. Sarri is expected to bring in a brand new charismatic appearance at the Bridge and Chelsea will definitely put up their best to challenge the champions Manchester City.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has reorganised his midfield by bringing in the Napoli star Jorginho. Sarri is preferring the veteran 4-3-3 formation where he is using Kante and Barkley at upright positions, putting Jorginho in the holding back. This formation has put other midfielders of the squad out the start eleven and Chelsea is now ready to let misfit midfielder Danny Drinkwater go out on loan. The Blues are all planned to set him to to go in the next two weeks if a European side comes in for him. The New Chelsea manager not only brought in Jorginho but succeed to loan in the Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic. The Croatian was a class of an act in the last match against Arsenal and will definitely earn the starting eleven in few days. The English midfielder was a target for his old club Leicester, West Ham and Crystal Palace during the English transfer window, though neither a transfer took place that time.

Now Chelsea are willing to let him go before the European deadline closes on August 3. They can even settle for a loan if anyone shows interest on the England midfielder. Chelsea set free former Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko last week. The midfielder joined AC Milan on a year’s loan with a view to a permanent transfer. Though the Premier League side must subsidise some of the French player’s wages in order to facilitate the move.Chelsea won their opener in Premier League where Sarri used Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley like said before. Cesc Fabregas was injured and Ruben Loftus-Cheek came on as a late substitute. Kovacic made the substitutions in the very next game and dominated the pitch along with Eden Hazard.

It seems that Chelsea want to hold on to England midfielder Loftus-Cheek, who also showed his willingness to stay and fight for his place. So it can be easily predicted that Drinkwater could be the man to be sacrificed.

The 28-year-old came at Bridge in a £35m deal last summer, but had a dismal season, starting only five league games. Chelsea is now a museum of midfield options following the arrivals of Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid on loan and Jorginho from Napoli and it can be predicted that with the aforesaid players  N’Golo Kante is ‘undroppable’, which means the other players in his ranks face a tough task each.
