The Premier League season has started off with a bang and a lot of clubs have made a really positive start to the new campaign already. Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Spurs are doing, along with some of the other teams like Watford too. However, all teams are focused on going all the way and winning more titles in the long-run and that is why the fans will be hoping that the players can really deliver.
With that being said, there are a lot of tournaments and competitions going on for the fans as well and one such tournament has been hosted by Beyond The Posts as well too.
As part of the Premier League fantasy tournament, a lot of the members made their teams and joined the group. The tournament intrigues a lot of people and some big stars as well too, including people from other sports.
One such player competing for the title this year has been Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma, who has not been selected for the Test team in the team’s tour of England. Due to this, he decided to do something fruitful and play the game instead.
Despite that, his intention and ambition to be a top player in the FPL game did not work out well for him, as he decided to take a couple of players, who were not really the best choices.
The batsman took Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata and Willy Caballero in his team, with the attacker not making the Spanish national side for the World Cup and the Argentine having a forgettable tournament. Not too many people would put their trust in these two stars, though the former Indian skipper has gone with them.
Apart from them, the cricketer also included the likes of Roberto Firmino, Kevin de Bruyne and Mohamed Salah. The two Liverpool stars have been looking good so far, with the Egyptian international being the most picked and capped star.
On the other hand, the Brazilian forward has made some vital contributions to his team’s success so far, though he has not really been amongst the goals. The Reds have won all three games this term and will want to continue to do so, in the days to come.
Apart from that De Bruyne picked up an injury recently and will out for a few months. With that being said, the choices that this Indian star has made gave the audience something to troll him for.
However, one thing can be said that Richarlison was a gem of a buy for Rohit (until that last weekend where he was sent off) and Shaw did fairly well too. Despite that, it will be quite interesting to see what changes he makes to his team in the days to come, when he plays his boosters and most importantly, when he uses those wild-cards that are at his disposal.
We wish him all the very best for the remainder of the season. Hopefully, he is able to make India proud once again. Pun intended!!
