Chelsea Star Now Takes A Dig At Former Boss Antonio Conte

Football is very much cruel at times. It can make you feel on the top of the World sometimes. Some situations will come when you will be criticised badly without any real reason. The time is not going very well for the former manager of Chelsea, Antonio Conte. The Italian manager was sacked despite winning one Premier League title and one FA Cup in his two years’ managerial career at Stamford Bridge. The manager has lost the control of his dressing room completely and the players had no desire to play under his management anymore.

Previously, the players like Willian, Diego Costa and David Luiz have openly criticised the Italian manager Antonio Conte in front of the media. Now, the name of Alvaro Morata has been added in that list. After the bust up between the manager Antonio Conte and Diego Costa, the Spanish centre-forward has moved to Atletico Madrid in previous season. Chelsea Board were desperate to find a perfect alternative of Diego Costa in the previous summer transfer window and they got the Real Madrid’s young centre forward Alvaro Morata. Morata joined the Blues with a transfer fee worth £58m in the previous summer transfer window and he became the most expensive player of the Blues.

 

The Spanish centre forward was able to score 7 goals in his first 7 appearances for the Blues. After that, a goal drought has come in his career at Chelsea. Alvaro Morata was only able to score one goal in the calendar year 2018 in the previous season. It was really odd for a centre forward of one top European club to have such a goal drought. Alvaro Morata was criticised badly by the football critics. After those criticisms, Alvaro Morata decided to change his location. He has offers from the clubs from Spain and Italy.

At that point of time Antonio Conte was sacked by the Chelsea club management. The new manager Maurizio Sarri has taken the charge of the Blues in the new season. Maurizio Sarri is going to implement some new strategies at Stamford Bridge in this season. According to Alvaro Morata, Antonio Conte’s defensive strategy has affected a lot in his gameplay and it was one of the reasons of their goal drought so far. Alvaro Morata’s chances in the starting lineup of Chelsea were also decreased after the arrival of Olivier Giroud from Arsenal in the winter transfer window of the previous season.

 

The former Real Madrid star said that there would be a huge possibility of him to regain his Goal Scoring form under the management of Maurizio Sarri. Maurizio Sarri is a coach who believes to attack all the times. In this system, there will be more chances for Alvaro Morata to score goals in this season. Though, Alvaro Morata has only managed to get one goal in his four appearances so far in the Premier League till now. Alvaro Morata has also been called up in the squad of Spanish National side to play against England in the UEFA Nation’s League.
