Talking Points: Liverpool Vs Leicester City, As Reds Secure Narrow Win Despite Alisson Blunder

Liverpool have eased past Leicester City with a margin of 2-1 at King Power Stadium. Liverpool could have got the victory quite easily; but an error caused by their star Brazilian Goalkeeper Alisson made the scoreline trickier for them. They have experienced some nervy moments at the end of the match; but somehow they have managed to get the win in this crucial match. Here are the talking points of the match between Liverpool and Leicester City :

1.Unstoppable Attacking Trio Of Liverpool :

It might be an off day for Mohamed Salah; but the other two have scored to give Liverpool the lead of 2 goals in this match. Sadio Mane has scored his fourth goal of the campaign in this match. Roberto Firmino has also shown his class. He has headed the ball perfectly in the Goal from the corner provided by James Milner. Liverpool were 2-0 ahead in the match in the first half itself. The trio are getting more and more effective with the passing days of this season.

  1. Kariusmatic Alisson:

The Brazilian Goalkeeper of Liverpool, Alisson did a silly mistake in front of the Goal of Liverpool. The Brazilian keeper tried to dribble but Maddison got the ball and passed it to Rachid Ghezzal who scored for Leicester City. Leicester City were on the verge of making a comeback in the match with this Goal. Such a mistake from a keeper like Alisson is just unthinkable. After coming to Anfield with a record transfer fee, Alisson warned the Liverpool fans that they might have their heart in hand in this season as he would love to take risk in the match. It was not easy to accommodate in the new League and here in English Premier League, there is no mercy for the silly mistakes.

  1. A Game Of Two Halves :

Liverpool dominated the match in the first half; but after giving one goal back, Leicester City have shown their class. Leicester City have created many clear cut opportunities in the second half of the match. They were certainly the better team in the field in the second half of the match. Leicester City have clearly missed the presence of their star forward Jamie Vardy in this match. The players have tried their best despite limited strength. But at the end of the day Liverpool become victorious in the match.

  1. Champions’ Luck :

The Champions’ Luck might be with the Reds this time. The Reds have scored 2 goals in the first half and just switched off from the game after that. The Champions’ Luck was with them today as they have not conceded more than one goal in this match. The team looked a bit shaky in the last two matches after their demolition against West Ham United in the opening match of the season. Now, they are still at the top of the table with 12 points in three matches. They are ahead of their arch rivals Chelsea only by Goal difference. The clash between these two sides are coming up within few weeks.
