The Best News For Chelsea Fans, As Star Gives Update On His Future At The Bridge

Willian has cleared the air over his future at Stamford Bridge, saying he is happy to take the decision to stay at Chelsea. The Brazilian winger Willian was linked with a possible move towards Manchester United or Barcelona in this summer transfer window. According to the sources, Barcelona have made several bids to rope in Willian in this summer. Jose Mourinho also wished to have this 30 year old Brazilian winger in his team as Willian perfectly matches with his style of play.

The Chelsea Board have rejected all the offers to let Willian go in this summer transfer window. And now in an interview in the Chelsea’s official website, Willian told, “A lot of people they say a lot of things in the press, but I never said that I want to leave Chelsea, never.

“Always I say that I want to stay at Chelsea as long as possible, and I am happy to stay here.”, he added.

The rumours about Willian’s departure in this summer transfer window have been sparkled due to ongoing poor relationship with the previous Chelsea manager Antonio Conte. Willian was not in the starting lineup of the Blues in several occasions in the previous season. Willian was clearly frustrated with the way Antonio Conte treated him. So, he posted the picture of the FA Cup trophy win celebration of Chelsea in the previous season; but blurred the face of Antonio Conte in that picture.

After this incident, it was almost certain that Willian had made his mind to go to a new club in 2018-19 season. The former boss was sacked by the club management after his failure to guide the team to the top four finish in the previous season.

Under the management of the new manager Maurizio Sarri, Willian have started in 3 games of Chelsea out of their four games in the Premier League so far. It is seeming that , Willian is adapting himself really in Maurizio Sarri’s system at Stamford Bridge. So, this might be the best time for the Brazilian to commit his future at the West London club.

Willian has joined the Blues in the summer transfer window of 2013-14 season with a huge transfer fee worth £35m. Since then, the winger has scored 44 goals in his 241 appearances for the Blues. Willian is currently busy with the National duties for Brazil in this International Break. After that, he will return to Stamford Bridge to take on Cardiff City on Saturday in the Premier League.

The west London outfit are at present playing really well in this season under the management of Maurizio Sarri. Maurizio Sarri have settled himself in the English Premier League in very short period of time. The Blues have won all of their four matches in the Premier League so far. They have collected 12 points in four matches so far. The Blues are situated at the second position in the League Table of the Premier League. They are just behind Liverpool in the points table in terms of goal difference.
