Cristiano Ronaldo’s son netted four times in his opening game against Luceno for the Juventus under-9s while his father still continues to struggle in front of goal for the Old Ladies.
Cristiano Ronaldo might be struggling in front of goal to score for Juventus, but his son certainly isn’t! The Portuguese international has experienced a barren start to life in Serie A following his shocking arrival from Santiago Bernabeu, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner again went scoreless in Juve’s 2-1 win at Parma on Saturday.
The forward’s 23 attempts at goal without scoring is the worst tally in Europe’s top five leagues, with Nantes’ star Valentin Rongier in the second place behind Ronaldo with fifteen shots. However, if stats are to believed then Ronaldo is in the midst of his longest scoring drought in club football since February 2011 when he was shut out by Espanyol, Levante and Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga and Lyon in the Uefa Champions League.
However that wasn’t the case with Ronaldo Jr, when he stepped up on the pitch for the first time in a Juventus jersey on Sunday. The star-kid surely had a debut to remember as he scored four goals in a single game to outshine his dad. According to reports in the Italian Media, the forward helped his team by scoring two goals in each half of the game as his side beat Lucento 5-1. Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez was also present in the mini-stadium to watch his son copy his father’s poaching skills wearing his iconic number 7 jersey.

Mario Mandzukic and Blaise Matuidi came to rescue when Juventus took on Parma where Cristiano Ronaldo drew a blank yet again. The Portuguese international would be looking forward to open his account for the Old Lady when Juventus takes on Sassuolo in a bid to grab all three points on 16th of September.
This is a very rare spell that he has not seen in his career for quite some time now, where the player just can’t seem to find the back of the net. However, we all know that out beloved CR7 is a fighter and he will fight back once again to regain the form that has seen him win all that there is to win in the world of football already.
With that being said, Juve want to be strong title contenders this time and hopefully, they can really make good use of all the players that they have signed in the summer transfer window.
Ronaldo will be up against his old club Manchester United in the Champions League shortly too, whom he could have joined at the start of the campaign too. However, with the deal not going through, this might be his chance to break his goal-scoring drought against the club that made him the star that he is today. Whether that happens or not now, only time will tell. Let’s hope for the best!!
