Agent Of Chelsea’s Defensive Target Gives Update On His Client’s Future

Elseid Hysaj’s agent has confirmed that the priority of the player is not signing a new contract with his present club Napoli. Hysaj’s contract is going to expire after the end of 2020-21 season. The 24 year old Albanian right back was an integral part of the squad of Napoli under the management of Maurizio Sarri in the previous season. Maurizio Sarri wished to have this player at Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window. But the release clause of the player was the main problem for Chelsea FC to sign him in this summer.

It is seeming that the club management of the Blues are not losing hope to sign Elseid Hysaj in the upcoming winter transfer window. The agent of the player has given a clear hint that the player is not to extend the contract with Napoli as the interest from other top European clubs are present there. We can easily assume that Chelsea will surely be one of the clubs that will be eager to sign this right back in the winter transfer window.

Maurizio Sarri is trying to implement a new philosophy in Chelsea FC in this season and he will certainly wish to have some players in his new side who are well aware of his strategy from previous days. We have seen that Jorginho is controlling the game of Chelsea FC in this season. The main reason behind it is surely the experience of the Italian midfielder playing under the management of Maurizio Sarri at Napoli.

The Blues were very much habituated with the 3-4-3 formation implemented by Antonio Conte in the previous two seasons at Stamford Bridge. In this formation the team used to play with three centre backs and two wingbacks. Antonio Conte has turned César Azpilicueta as a centre back in the previous two seasons. He was previously well settled in the side playing as a right back in the previous three seasons at Chelsea. But now some qualities of the right back is missing in the game-play of Cesar Azpilicueta in this season.

Maurizio Sarri used to play with 4-3-3 formation where two centre backs and two side backs play their role in the defense. So, certainly the manager wished to have Cesar Azpilicueta in his side as a right back rather than playing him as a centre back. Cesar Azpilicueta is now ageing and the pace of him has been decreased a lot. That’s why he is not able to make those overlapping run. He is also not able to provide good crosses to the forwards in this season. He is still doing his defensive job right.

So, it will be harsh if the club management think that he has to be dropped from the lineup of Chelsea FC in the next season for this silly reason. They certainly need a good backup for Cesar Azpilicueta. Davide Zappacosta is not seeming to be a good option under the management of Maurizio Sarri. So, a player like Hysaj will certainly be a good addition for Chelsea FC in the next winter transfer window.
