Europa League Round Up : Chelsea And Arsenal To Face Tough Tests In Europa League

Both the London clubs will be in the action of Europa League on Thursday. Chelsea and Arsenal have won their previous two matches in the Europa League. Now, they will try to qualify from the respective groups with ease. Both the clubs are eyeing for three consecutive victories in the Europa League. While it is a little bit easy for Unai Emery’s men so far in this competition. For Maurizio Sarri’s men, it was a little bit tricky so far. The Gunners have won both the matches with comfortable margin while it has been a little nervy for Chelsea as they have won both the matches with the margin of 1-0.

The Blues have played against Paok FK and Mol Vidi FC so far in this competition. They will now be up against Bate Borisov on this Thursday at Stamford Bridge. In the next match day of the Europa League, they will also face Bate Borisov in their home. So, these two encounters will surely decide the fate of the Blues in this competition. On the other hand, the Gunners will face Sporting CP on this match day in Portugal. In the next match day the reverse clash will take place at the Emirates. These two matches will surely decide who will finish at the top of this Group as both the teams have collected 6 points from two encounters so far.

Maurizio Sarri has rated Bate Borisov quite highly and stated that they are good side away from home also. Considering the tough fixtures coming ahead, Maurizio Sarri will surely rotate the first team of the Blues. The Italian boss is quite sure that he will make 5-6 changes in this match against Bate Borisov. Eden Hazard is out of contention for this match with the back pain. The Belgian winger has been the heart of the Chelsea side in this season so far. On the other hand, Jorginho will also be rested in this match as the Italian midfielder is constantly playing. The midfielder has played two matches for Italian National side in this International Break. Christensen will be playing in this match as the manager of Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri has confirmed it. On the other hand, the manager did not confirm whether Callum Hudson Odoi and Ruben Loftus Cheek would play in the first team of Chelsea in this match or not. Ethan Ampadu is out of the playing condition as he has picked up an injury in the International Break while playing for Wales.

On the other hand, Arsenal are going to face Sporting CP in the Europa League match. Carl Jenkinson has travelled with the squad of the Gunners. Sokratis Papastathopoulos is also back in the side after recovering from the injury. But Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac will be out of the action as they are suffering from injury problems. Unai Emery has been worried about the unavailability of these two players of same position. Now he has to play Stephan Lichtsteiner in that position. So, it will not be an easy task for the Gunners to win against Sporting at Lisbon.
