Alexis’ uncertain future
Alexis Sanchez has not been in the best of forms lately at Old Trafford and his performances have led to speculations of him moving away from Manchester United. The rumoured destinations according to the Express includes his former club Arsenal and also French champions PSG.
The Chilean joined Manchester United back in January in a swap deal which involved Henrikh Mkhitaryan making the move to the opposite direction. from then the 29-year old could manage only 3 goals from the 23 matches he has featured for the Red Devils.
The most surprising part of the rumour is that it included Arsenal as one of his future destinations. The club where the Chilean enjoyed most of his success in the Premier League and returning to the Emirates might be a good move for the winger but it will allow the fans to go berserk on the management.
Sanchez had his tantrums at the Emirates before set sails to Old Trafford. The fans have seen the worst of him and may not even accept him at all.
Coming to PSG, Sanchez with his goalscoring prowess can be an asset for the French champions and will add more depth in their frontline which will help them in European competitions. If things go as planned the French capital may become his next destination.
Coutinho deal clauses
According to Mirror, Liverpool can earn even more money from the whopping Philippe Coutinho deal. The deal had a lot of clauses which many people may not be aware of. Although these three clauses are included in the Brazilian midfielder’s deal with Barcelona.
The Catalan club agreed on terms and as per the deal, they will have to pay the Reds a sum of £17.6m when Coutinho will mark his 100th appearance for the club. The fee is also agreed to be paid in four instalments which means the Reds will receive £4.4m on his every 25th appearance mark.
Secondly, the Merseyside club also received £4.4m from Barcelona as the side from Blaugrana qualified for the Champions League last season and Klopp’s men will receive the similar amount this year, as well as Barca’s qualification to the Champions League, is something very certain.
The Reds may receive another £4.4m if the Spanish Champions end their European drought and finally under the tutelage of Ernesto Valverde win the prestigious Champions League trophy this season.
Barca and PSG in the hunt for Ngolo Kante
Ngolo Kante’s story from rags to riches is something very inspiring. Even at his time at Leicester City, he was hardly known by many. There are a lot of midfielders who play in similar position to Kante and also play in a similar role but his consistency is second to none, and that’s what makes the French midfielder different from the rest.
Life under Maurizio Sarri has been a different chapter in his story, as the arrival of Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho has relieved the pressure from the World Cup winner. The presence of the other two allows Kante to be more effective in what he does best.
Looking at Kante’s qualities and consistency through the years he obviously attracts a lot of interests and among the suitors includes powerhouses like Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain. The Spanish Champions are looking for a worthy successor of Sergio Busquets as the Spaniard is gradually entering into the latter part of his career and having Kante at their disposal will take the pressure off from Busquets.
Similarly, with all the saga surrounding Adrien Rabiot, PSG are looking for reinforcements in case he decides to leave the Parc des Princes. After a brilliant World Cup winning performance Thomas Tuchel’s side may just lure the French midfielder with a deal to come back to France where it all began for him.
A return to France and a career closer to home won’t be a bad option for Kante considering the fact that the Blues are not playing in Europe’s elite competition rather they are in the Europa League.
