Three Players That Arsenal Should Sell In The January Transfer Window

Though Unai Emery’s side have been really solid since their initial two loses in the campaign, some of the players that he has used have not really flourished under him. It’s not as if Arsenal has not done well, but, when the need to deliver has come, these players have just gone missing on the field. We need to be championship material, if we wish to make our return to the Champions League and win more.

There was a managerial change, which we now have. However, there needs to be a major overhaul in the personnel as well and Emery knows that too.

Though there have been a lot of times that the likes of Mesut Ozil and co. have been targetted for their lacklustre performances, here are three players that need to be sold by the Gunners in January-

3. Shkodran Mustafi-

The Arsenal centre-back has been below average since he joined the north London side and has looked really poor at times. He has lacked fitness to cope up with the big teams and has given up cheap goals, during the course of the last few seasons. Even this time, he has not looked that good and has caused problems for his other team-mates at the back. He is no Per Mertesacker, which is quite obvious.

Whether it is giving away silly penalties or being out-of-position on multiple occasions in the match, Mustafi is not the defender we can count on to win major titles. If Emery is serious about his title ambitions in the years to come, it is high time to get in more proper defenders and sell such players, who are just not at the level of the Gunners.
