Team News :

Chelsea :

The new manager of Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri is trying to implement a new formation in this season. The players are trying to accommodate themselves in the new system. It is not a easy task to implement your own style in a highly competitive League like English Premier League. However, Maurizio Sarri has tried his best till date. Chelsea are situated at the fourth position in the League Table. They are still 8 points behind the League leaders Liverpool in the Premier League. However, a recent win against Manchester City will surely boost up their confidence level.

Maurizio Sarri will like to do well in the Carabao Cup as the Blues have a great chance to win the Cup in this season. It might well be the first trophy of Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea. Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to start in this match against Bournemouth. David Luiz might be rested in this match. Andreas Christensen will come in the starting eleven of the Blues in place of David Luiz. Antonio Rudiger might hold his place in the starting lineup of Chelsea. However, Gary Cahill will also be in the contention to start the match.

Davide Zappacosta and Emerson Palmieri are expected to start against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarter final in place of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso. Ross Barkley will surely take part in this match coming back from injury. Cesc Fabregas might also start ahead of Jorginho as the deep lying midfielder. N’ Golo Kante will hold his place in the starting lineup of the Blues. Olivier Giroud will start as the centre forward of the Blues in this match as Alvaro Morata is still injured. Eden Hazard will also miss this match with a twisted ankle in the previous match against Brighton and Hove Albion. Both Willian and Pedro started at the wings in the previous match. So, the manager might opt to rest both of them in this match. Ruben Loftus Cheek and Callum Hudson might start at both the flanks.

Bournemouth :

Eddie Howe’s side will welcome Callum Wilson in this match as the English centre forward is fit to play in this match against Chelsea. Though, they will miss the service of Gosling, Lewis Cook, Adam Smith and Simon Francis in this match due to injury problems.

Predicted Starting Eleven :

Chelsea (4-3-3) :

Goalkeeper : Kepa

Defenders : Zappacosta, Rudiger, Christensen, Emerson.

Midfielders : Fabregas, Kante, Barkley.

Attackers : Loftus-Cheek, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi.

Bournemouth : (3-5-2)

Goalkeeper : Begovic

Defenders : S Cook, Ake, Daniels.

Midfielders : Stanislas, Surman, Lerma, Brooks, Rico.

Attackers : Wilson, King.

My Predicted Scoreline :

Chelsea 3-2 Bournemouth.
