Manchester United Legend Wants The Club To Sign These Two World-Class Stars, Fans Welcome Suggestion

According to former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand, the Red Devils should look to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale as well as Borussia Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho in the upcoming summer transfer window. The two superstar wingers have been linked with Manchester United in the transfer window and even in the past and Ferdinand has had his say on the transfer rumors.

Manchester United are currently in fourth place on the Premier League table, something that they did not even dream was possible after a torrid start to the campaign. Former United manager Jose Mourinho had made the club quite toxic by instilling his defensive style of football into the United players. The poor football was not even backed up with positive results and the United faithful were not used to watching their club in such a shape. The writing was on the wall for the ‘Special One’ and fierce rivals Liverpool hammered the final nail in Mourinho’s coffin as Manchester United boss in December which forced the club to part ways with the 56-year-old Portuguese.

The red half of Manchester then looked at a familiar face in the form of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to stabilize the collapse the ship and the Norwegian has brought smiles back at Old Trafford. Solskjaer has lost just one of his first 16 games as manager of Manchester United and with positive football; the club may look to hand the 46-year-old a manager’s job on a permanent note. If that is the case, Solskjaer has to look at the players he wants to recruit in the summer, and United are linked to some big names in Europe.

Gareth Bale is having an unhappy time at Real Madrid and the Los Blancos could get rid of the Welsh superstar in the summer if a big offer comes in. A return to the Premier League is on the cards for the 29-year-old Bale who has somewhat failed to fill in the shoes of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Another super talent United are linked with is Jadon Sancho as the teenage sensation has been attracting plenty of interest from top suitors in the European continent. And former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes that the Red Devils should snap up both the stars.

While speaking to Tuesday’s Sports Breakfast, the former England centre-back said, “Sancho or Bale? I would take both! Manchester United can afford both. They are different players, you can’t compare them. One is at the beginning of his career and one is at the other end of his career. Sancho has huge potential; he can be anything he wants to be. And Gareth Bale, if you are talking about having great moments in current football, big goals on big occasions, he is up there in that sense. If I was someone at Real Madrid I would think about the trophies we have won while he’s been there and I would be delighted. If I was someone looking for a player right now and he’s available, I would take Gareth Bale if the price is right. But it’s down to Gareth, isn’t it? If he’s got a desire to leave now, he is a bit disgruntled, the fans are not having him as much as he thought and he wants to get out of there, a deal can be made somewhere else, I am sure.”
