This Player Is The Main Reason Why Manchester United Are Desperate To Sign Jadon Sancho

According to the latest reports, Premier League giants Manchester United want to sign Borussia Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho because of the failures of Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean arrived at Old Trafford on a swap deal from Arsenal last January transfer window but has not been the same player that United hoped to have poached from the North London side. His form has seen a lot of ups and downs, though he has failed to live up to expectations and his price-tag.

When Manchester United fans found out that Alexis Sanchez would be a Red Devils, there was a buzz around the red half of the city. Quite certainly, they thought they had the better deal by getting rid of Henrikh Mkhitaryan swapping with Sanchez. However, things didn’t turn out as expected as Sanchez is costing the Premier League giants a fortune every week in terms of wages and barely has any regular football in the first team. One of the main reasons why Sanchez wasn’t able to cement his place in the Manchester United starting eleven was due to the stubbornness of former manager Jose Mourinho. The ‘Special One’ instilled his defensive philosophy into the United players and Sanchez wasn’t able to express himself freely in attack despite his hard-working nature.

With the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United are now looking like the force they once were in attack. The smiles are back on the fans’ faces as Ole has lost just one in his first 16 games across all competitions as United manager. Sanchez was only slowly starting to find his way back into the first team but an injury which will keep him out for the remainder of the season and some fans believe that the 30 year old may have played his last game for Manchester United.  Sanchez is the highest paid player in the Premier League and United are looking to get him off the high wage bill.

According to the Telegraph, Manchester United are looking to sign a replacement for Sanchez in the form of Jadon Sancho in the summer. The English teenager has been taking the Bundesliga by storm this season as he has netted nine times and provided another 10 assists to help the German side to the top of the Bundesliga table. At just 18 years of age, Sancho is one of the hottest properties in European football at the moment.

Sancho actually began his youth career at Manchester but in the blue half of the city. As every other young footballer trying to make a name for himself, Sancho was eager to play regular first team football but wasn’t given the opportunity in England. The teenager then moved on to Borussia Dortmund for a mere transfer fee of £10 million and has become an integral part of Lucien Favre’s squad.

Times have changed drastically for Sancho as the attacker is now worth over £100m and a hoard of clubs are interested in his services. Manchester United, along with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain are monitoring Sancho’s progress at the moment but the English outfit want to replace Sanchez with Sancho.
