Breaking: Former Chelsea Star Makes A Shocking Claim, Fans Stunned

In a shocking report, former Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he had to leave the club because of Maurizio Sarri’s affection for midfielder Jorginho. The Spanish star has joined Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the January transfer window and has now opened up on why he had to depart Chelsea.

When Maurizio Sarri arrived at Chelsea back in the summer of 2018, he did quite a good job by replacing fellow Italian compatriot Antonio Conte at the helm. The 60-year-old ex-Napoli master tactician instilled a very attractive and effective brand of football into the club, which was greeted by plaudits and praised by fans and pundits across the globe. Sarri helped Chelsea reach the finals of the League Cup but they eventually lost out to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in penalty shootouts. The West London outfit have also made it into the Europa League quarter-finals and they look like certain contenders to go on and win the competition as well. However, Chelsea are still in a battle to finish inside the top 4 this season with congested rivals nearby all hunting for a Champions League berth.

Sarri, though, has come under some criticism for his stubbornness over choosing the wrong players in odd areas of the pitch as well as his unwillingness to adapt to a different game style. Sarro brought in Jorginho from Napoli and that dislocated a few players from the team. One player who moved away from the central midfield spot was Cesc Fabregas, who saw his game time reduced drastically after the arrival of the Italian playmaker. Fabregas was then shown the exit door in the winter transfer window and 31-year-old moved to Monaco for regular football.

The Spaniard spent four and a half seasons with Chelsea and helped the Blues win two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and one League Cup as well, but he has now explained why he had to leave Stamford Bridge.

In a recent interview with news outlet Metro, Fabregas took a massive dig at Sarri and Jorginho being the main reason for him not to extend his stay with the club, “All the time for me it is important to have a new objective in my head, I was at Chelsea and I could have renewed my contract and stayed there but a new coach came with a player that for him was like his son.”

Fabregas went on to explain that it was difficult for him to play regular football and feature in every single game but wanted to work on a project that he loved as well. “For me, it was difficult to play every single game and that is what I want to do. I love football. I do not want to be happy to play for Chelsea. For whatever reason it was impossible for me even if I was better, or someone else is better, to play every match and I decided to come to a project that was different for me and I think it will give me so much satisfaction”, he said.
