Liverpool Are Battling Serie A Giants To Sign This Goal-Scoring Forward, Wanted By Manchester United And West Ham Too

According to the latest reports, Premier League giants will be prepared to battle Serie A outfit AC Milan in the hunt to sign Gremio star forward Everton Soares in the upcoming summer transfer window. The goal-scoring forward is catching the heavy interest from clubs in Europe after an impressive couple of seasons in the Brazilian Serie A. He is wanted by Manchester United and West Ham too, as further confirmed now.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is currently sitting at the summit of the Premier League table at the moment and enjoying one of their finest seasons in England’s top flight ever since the club was formed back in 1892. The Reds are two points ahead of second placed Manchester City although Pep Guardiola’s side still has a game in hand. Liverpool has done extremely well to remain in contention with the Blues side of Manchester so deep into the Premier League. Last season, Manchester City stormed their way to the Premier League title breaking plenty of records in the process and amassing a staggering 100 points to win the league. This season, Liverpool is adamant to fight right until the end and make sure that the title race goes down to the wire.

Liverpool also made it to the semifinals of the Champions League as they overcame Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 and FC Porto in the quarter finals of the elite tournament. Slowly but surely, Liverpool’s attacking trio are finding their rhythm after a relatively poor start to the campaign. Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have not hit the heights of last season but have delivered when Liverpool have needed it most. Either one of them has stepped up to take the mantle and carry the club forward.

But Klopp wants Liverpool to compete for major honors and trophies on a regular basis every season and wants to strengthen his squad in every transfer market. The German manager wants to bolster his attacking options for next season if Liverpool does not win any silverware this term. Reports claim that Klopp will use a natural goalscoring forward to replace the false number nine Roberto Firmino.  One player that has caught the eye of Liverpool is Gremio striker Everton Soares who is one of the hottest properties in South American football.

Soares broke into the Brazilian national team under Tite before the Copa America tournament and he is now also wanted by some of Europe’s heavyweights. The 23-year-old goalscorer was scoring goals for fun last season as he netted 16 across 40 appearances. Soares has three international caps to his name as well as he made his debut for Brazil in the latest international friendlies coming off the bench on three occasions.

The positive situation with signing Soares is the fact that he can also play anywhere along the front-line and Klopp can use him as a replacement for Sadio Mane as well if the Senegalese is injured or needs rest. Soares has also scored five goals this year and his impressive performances could land him a bid from Merseyside club Liverpool as they look to lure him at Anfield in the summer.
