Update On Willian’s Chelsea Future, As Club Tries To Get Things Sorted With Player

Willian’s future at Stamford Bridge has already been decided. Willian is all set to sign a new 2 year deal with the Blues, though Chelsea are not ready to accept his wage demands. The Blues are going to face a transfer ban for the next two windows. So, it might be the prime target for them to retain their star players in the crisis period. The main player in this squad of Chelsea, Eden Hazard left Chelsea to join Real Madrid with a transfer fees worth £100m in this summer transfer window.

The Blues signed Pulisic as a back up option for Eden Hazard in the previous winter transfer window. It was stated in the deal that Pulisic would be the player of the Blues after the end of the previous season. So, it is seeming that the Blues have signed Christian Pulisic as a replacement of Eden Hazard.

However, the situation at Chelsea is not looking very much satisfying. The manager of the Blues, Maurizio Sarri leaving Stamford Bridge. A new manager will be deployed at Chelsea. The new manager of the Blues might be Frank Lampard as his name is strongly there in the talks. After the departure of Maurizio Sarri it will be really interesting to see how the new manager will approach to find the proper starting lineup of the Blues.

Kepa Arrizabalaga will surely be there as the first choice Goalkeeper for Chelsea. Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger will be the two centre backs for the Blues in the next season. David Luiz and Kurt Zouma will be the backups in this position for the Blues. Cesar Azpilicueta might continue as the right back and Emerson Palmieri will continue as the left back player for the Blues in the next season. Davide Zappacosta will be there as the back up option for Cesar Azpilicueta. Marcos Alonso might leave the Blues before the next season.

In the midfield, N’Golo Kante will play as a defensive midfielder and he will be back in his previous role. Bakayoko might come back from loan and he can well be used as the backup of Kante. Jorginho, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus Cheek will be there in the midfield for the Blues and two of them will be deployed as other two midfield options. On the other hand, Olivier Giroud will be the main centre-forward. Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi will be there as the back up options. Willian and Pedro will be there at the wings. Callum Hudson Odoi and Christian Pulisic will be deployed as the alternative option for the Blues throughout the whole season.

So in this setup it will be really difficult for the Blues to cope up with a new manager. In this situation, an experienced player like Willian can be really important for the Blues. So he might now be given the number 10 jersey after the departure of the Eden Hazard. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid were interested to seal the deal of Willian. However the club management of the Blues will extend the contract of Willian for another two years.
