The champions of Europe have missed out on signing Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid, as the player looks to sign for another club. North London giants Arsenal are one of the top clubs who are leading the race to bring him in this summer and will be hoping that they can make the deal happen. The player is eager to leave Real Madrid and a loan deal away could be on the cards now.
Jurgen Klopp has been looking to sign some top quality stars in the transfer window, though has not spent like some of his European rivals. After the Champions League triumph of last season, the German boss is now keen on winning the Premier League title.
His team has been really impressive so far and he will want to add more bench strength, which has been a problem in the recent seasons. Due to this, they have been really close to winning the league, but have failed to cope up and have lost out to Manchester City.
On the other hand, the 22 year old midfielder is looking for a club that can offer him regular game-time, so that he can make a name for himself and showcase his skills. It has not been possible to do as at the Bernabeu with the competition for places and Los Blancos are open to let him move away temporarily.
The Gunners are leading the charge to bring him to the Emirates, as manager Unai Emery looks to replace some of his departed stars. The former Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla manager is still looking to fill the void, left by the departure of Aaron Ramsey to Juventus and is considering bring in the former Real Betis man.
The Londoners are surely a better option for the player, as he would be getting more opportunities with Arsenal, than with the Merseyside outfit, who already have a lot of talented stars amongst their ranks. Due to this, he must have rejected the offer of a potential opportunity to sign for the Kops.
Whatever be the end result of this transfer saga now, one thing is for certain that the player is really talented and can make a name for himself in England. He could follow the same path that Mateo Kovacic took previously, who has initially out on loan and has now signed a permanent lead with Chelsea.
The prospect could be interesting for both parties and hopefully a deal works out between the player and Unai Emery’s side. One thing to remember will be the fact that he will not be playing in Europe’s top cup competition, if he does indeed sign with them.
Further, Liverpool will be disappointed by the fact that they could not sign this really talented star, but have a lot of other options to look at and are considering them now. Only time will tell which players Klopp decides to finally bring in. However, for now it has been confirmed that Ceballos will not be signing for the Champions League holders.
