The Story Of Transfers
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the club will be signing “one or two” more players in the current transfer window, after a really good start. The Red Devils have had a successful window so far and will want to wrap it up positively as well, with the Norwegian looking for a major overhaul at the club in his first full-season at the club.
He has already brought in young talented winger Daniel James from Swansea City and Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace. He is expected to bring in more stars now, as they look to turn things around from the last season. Due to this, he has made his and the club’s intentions known, that they will be possibly signing a couple of players at least to fill the voids within their squad.
The players that are most likely to be brought in are the duo of Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes, with the club looking to win some major titles in the upcoming term. The two stars have been linked strongly with a move to Old Trafford for now some time and it seems that the deals are on the verge of being completed.
Solskajer took the Red Devils’ job last term and has since then done a decent job with the players, as he took over from Jose Mourinho. Though the finish to the previous campaign was not the best and they failed to finish in the top four, the overall performances were much better. With the right kind of money now and the perfect players that fit in, things can surely improve in the days to come.
The manager spoke about the fact that they were scouting the right kind of players and signing them eventually, so that they fit into the team. Hopefully, they get things right this time and the fans get to see some major silverware soon.
Huge Game-week One Fixture Against Chelsea
One major hurdle to prevent a perfect start for Solskjaer’s ambitions for next season, will be the opening week fixture against Chelsea. The Blues will make the trip to Old Trafford on the 11th of August, Sunday and whichever team is able to win this match, will get a huge boost at the start of the new campaign.
The former United striker will be up against Chelsea’s best midfielder in recent times, Frank Lampard and the two former players will want to make a name for themselves, with a win. It will not be easy by any stretch of imagination, as both managers are quite dynamic and will have something to prove to the world.
Manchester United have not been able to secure the Champions League berth this time and will want to keep one foot on the peddle and really push from the very beginning. Solskjaer has been very vocal and positive about his intent to produce the best results at the club, on and off the pitch and hopefully the players can deliver now.
