According to the latest reports, Chelsea are looking to add more firepower to their attack with the inclusion of Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer market. The player has been the talisman for his current side Crystal Palace and might be on his way out of the Selhurst Park after being linked with a move to almost each of the top six clubs in the Premier League over the last few seasons.
Based on the reports, the Blues are also looking to ensure that they bring back their former defensive ace Nathan Ake in the team, who is currently plying his trade for Bournemouth. He has been a mainstay in the Cherries defence since his arrival in the 2017-18 season and is currently on the priority list of the Blues who want him back at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s transfer ban, which was imposed on them for two seasons in the first place, has been reduced to one, which means that they will be able to do business again. They have been lacking some serious threat upfront since the departure of their talismanic forward Eden Hazard in the summer transfer window and Zaha could come into the side as a replacement for the influential Belgian superstar.
As per the reports, the Blues have handed a war chest to their manager Frank Lampard for the January transfer market, which is worth £150m. This means that the club authority is ready to back the gaffer and is looking forward to making it a stellar squad ahead of the business end of the season.
The Blues have performed well this season so far and are currently at the fourth position in the Premier League table and would look to go further up the ladder as the season progresses. However, their attack has let them down on a number of occasions, which has rung a few alarm bells in the Chelsea ranks and they will look to bring in a few new faces in the January transfer market.
Zaha has been one of the most sought after players in the recent season in the Premier League and has been linked with a move to a number of clubs including the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. However, it seems like the west London club is going to win the race for the Ivorian and if they can, it is expected to make their attack sharper.
Chelsea retain an interest in signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace and have spoken to intermediaries about the possibility of a deal next summer.

The 27-year-old winger has been one of the highly-rated wingers in the Premier League and has an experience of 340 odd matches to his name while playing for the Eagles, notching up 55 goals in the process.
Now it is to be seen whether the Blues can test the resolution of their south London rivals in the January transfer window and bring the Ivorian winger into their side to beef up their attack ahead of the business end of the season so that they can help their cause to finish the season in the top four in consecutive seasons in the Premier League.
