Manchester United And Tottenham Looking To Benefit From Bournemouth’s Overhaul

Manchester United and Tottenham monitoring Bournemouth’s status? This has not been an impressive season for Bournemouth. It is claimed that they are looking to change their policy in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Cherries are currently 18th in the Premier League table. They could face the drop if the season restarts any time soon. However,  regardless of their future in the top tier of English football, they are looking to change their transfer policy.

Owner Maxim Demin has backed the Cherries during their remarkable rise to the Premier League. Despite that, he is now planning a change of tactics. A major squad overhaul could take place at the Vitality Stadium in the summer. This will be done in order to raise funds and for that, the Cherries could sell some of their high-profile players.

If reports are to be believed, they could sell star striker duo Joshua King and Callum Wilson for the right price in the summer. Both players have been in good form in recent times and are wanted by a host of clubs.

What Eddie Howe Could Be Facing?

The manager Eddie Howe is bracing for a major shake-up in the next transfer window and both the strikers could be sold to raise funds. Interest in the duo, who are both 28 years of age now, was high in January, especially from Manchester United. Also, Tottenham is said to be interested in signing a few new stars.

The Cherries signed a host of young players over the past few seasons but have been unable to make a profit on them. Dominic Solanke and Jordon Ibe arrived from Liverpool with big prices and big reputations but have both failed to deliver.

The South Coast outfit will lose both Ibe as well as star winger, Ryan Fraser at the end of their contracts this summer. Young Welsh winger David Brooks would also be a wanted man if he had not missed the season with a serious ankle injury.

Who Will Benefit Now?

The 22-year-old was one of the most wanted names last summer. Both Manchester United and Spurs could reignite their interest in the Welshman in the summer. He was injured and the fact that he has missed the whole season with a serious ankle injury, hurt their interest. The Wales international featured 33 times for the Cherries in all competitions last season.

It was a very strong debut season for the former Sheffield United star. He contributed with seven goals and five assists. Keeping that in mind, these top-sides are looking to add him to their squad.

Jose Mourinho lost some top players since he took over at the north London side. However, he has brought in some quality stars as well. With that being said, the need to add more talents is still there. The Portuguese is a manager who likes to keep winning titles. He will want to do the same at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as well.

Both teams are in need of more players for their current squads. They will look to take advantage of this situation and grow their ranks. It will be interesting to see how things develop now.
