A lot of top Arsenal players have been linked with a move away from the Emirates. The Gunners seem keen to offload some of their stars this summer. Some of the big names at the north London giants are said to be on the verge of a potential exit. One such player is Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 30-year-old striker has been linked with a move away from the Emirates. Assessing the current situation, the north London side may not be playing in the Champions League next season.
Due to this, the attacker could be all set to leave. The club would not be able to retain his services. Aubameyang had a clause in his contract which suggested that he would remain at Arsenal if they were in the Champions League.
With that being said, here are three players that Arsenal could sign to replace Aubameyang-
3. Wilfried Zaha
The Ivory Coast international has been one of the best players for The Eagles in recent seasons. He has helped them by scoring some key goals in the current season as well. Plus, he is at the centre of their creative play, more often than not. Though many of the fans consider him over-rated, it could be an interesting choice to sign him, considering he was already linked with the Gunners.
With that being said, he could be a great fit at Arsenal too. He can not just contribute to the goals but can create some brilliant moves as well. The free-flowing style of football at the Emirates will really help his case as well.
2. Richarlison
The Everton star has been in good form in recent seasons. He has been one of the top scorers for The Toffees if not their best. The Brazilian keeps pushing forward to find more goals for his side. His capability on and off the ball has been a huge threat for some of the top clubs.
Further, he has the record to back it all up. However, it will be interesting to see if he will leave Carlo Ancelotti’s side for an inexperienced Mikel Arteta. The Champions League or Europa League could be a factor in this decision as well.
1. Luka Jovic
If Aubameyang does decide to go to Real Madrid, Arsenal could be offered a swap deal for Luka Jovic. The player who moved to the Bernabeu at the start of the current campaign could be all set to leave. If that does happen and the Londoners do sign him, he could be a long-term asset for them.
Jovic is just 22 at present and has a long way to go. The Serbian international could get a lot of chances under Spaniard Mikel Arteta. However, it is still not clear whether the Gunners want Jovic or not. They might be possibly content selling Aubameyang for the money.
The English giants clearly have some plans for the summer. It will be interesting to see whether Jovic fits into those or not. Only time will tell.
