Former Chelsea, Liverpool And Arsenal Man Comments On Jurgen Klopp

The Jurgen Klopp verdict- Former Reds midfielder Yossi Benayoun is very happy to see his former side is going an outrageous job on the pitch after Klopp’s arrival. Benayoun, who played for Liverpool for three seasons from 2007 to 2010, says the Merseyside Reds have notched their level up under the current German boss.

“I am happy to see it, it is amazing to see where Liverpool are at the moment,” the former Liverpool midfielder told the club’s official website.

“From what I see, they play amazing football. The most special thing is you feel they are a team – everyone knows what they are doing on the pitch, you do not have one or two big stars and everything is on them. The star of the team is the team itself, one unit. They play together.”

The Verdict On Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool was once the best team in England. In the era of the 1970s and 1980s, they dominated English football after winning 18 league titles and several European titles. After the re-moderation of the league in the 1990s, they started slipping up.

After the formation of the Premier League, Liverpool failed to win a league title in almost three decades. Manchester United started dominating since the start of the Premier League era, and with 20 league titles, the Red Devils hold the title of the best team in England.

Last time they came close to win it was in the 2019 season when they lost the title by just one point to Manchester City. Benayoun applauds the efforts of every Liverpool player to change the scenario.

What Did The Former Chelsea, Liverpool And Arsenal Man Say?

“The commitment the players have is something special. I do not see any other team in Europe that has this commitment from the goalkeeper to the striker to work together, to press. When they decide to press they press everyone, no-one can play against them. It is amazing.” – Benayoun added.

“Of course, big credit to the manager, to Jurgen Klopp. I think this is a big difference from years before. I really enjoy watching them. Hopefully, they will continue like this and make us proud.”

Liverpool is currently 25 points above the second-placed Manchester City in the Premier League table. The maximum of two wins will secure them their first-ever Premier League title. They have surely waited for it a long time. This will be the 19th league title in their history. There are still nine games left to play in this season, which is expected to begin from the 17th of June.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager masterminded this Liverpool side to up their mediocre level of the game. Klopp’s heavy metal football guided the Reds to win their sixth Champions League title last year. They accomplished this feat by defeating Tottenham Hotspurs in the final.

They also won the UEFA Super Cup at the start of this season defeating Chelsea in the penalty shoot-outs. However this season, apart from the League’s success, they have struggled in other competitions. They knocked out in the FA Cup after losing poorly to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Klopp will be looking to strengthen his bench next term. He will want to compete in all the major titles that are there to be won.
