Paulo Dybala Makes A Huge Claim About Paul Pogba

Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala has expressed his desire to reunite with his former Juventus teammate and dear friend Paul Pogba. Before the coronavirus pandemic, there were speculations that the Frenchman was still a wanted man in Turin, as well as Real Madrid, amid his struggles at Manchester United.

The prospects of Juventus pulling off a deal for Pogba this coming summer now seem remote with the coronavirus crisis creating a huge financial loss for all football clubs but Dybala still dreams of playing alongside his friend again.

Speaking to UEFA’s website about his favourite shirts, Dybala revealed a United kit gifted by Pogba after the clubs’ Champions League meeting in 2018.

Paul Pogba: Expensive flop or world-class star? The Sunday ...

The Argentine said: “I could not overlook a shirt like this, of course. It is from Manchester, from my friend Paul, whom I admire as a person even more than as a football player.

“I had the chance to share great things with him and hopefully I can repeat that someday. Juventus won that night in Manchester, with Dybala scoring the only goal of the game.

After his arrival from Palermo in 2015, the 26-year-old spent only a single season alongside Pogba before the midfielder made his then world-record £89m move to Manchester United.

In that year, the pair helped Juventus to the Scudetto and lifted both the Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia. Dybala’s wishes of being back in the dressing room with his old team-mate are certainly clear. This is far from the first time he has spoken of that desire.

The striker told the media in April: “I hope that one day we will be able to celebrate again together.”

In fact, the Red Devils were recently linked with signing Dybala. Though that rumour involved Pogba moving in the opposite direction as part of a mega swap deal.

Man United Transfer News: Paulo Dybala keen on Paul Pogba ...

Last year, the Juventus forward said: “We have remained in touch since he left. We are still very close and who knows, maybe in the future, we can play together again on the same team.”

Paulo Dybala saw himself becoming out of favour at Juventus earlier this season. With his enormous talent, he has turned things around. He is once again one of the key players of the Old Lady. Not everyone is so keen to see Pogba back at Juventus. Nicola Amoruso said that the 2018 World Cup winner could disrupt the balance of the dressing room.

Amoruso told Stats Perform: “He would be added value; he is a great champion. He knows the Juventus environment very well and he is widely loved here. But I do not think Juventus can afford to bring in a player earning at least €15m per season. They already have to deal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s salary, and he is the best in the world with [Lionel] Messi.

“He would alter all the dressing room’s balances. I do not see it being very likely. I guess there is the mutual will to find a potential agreement but, in reality, I think there are really slim chances.”
