Mikel Arteta Makes Bold Statement About Frank Lampard; Fans Are Happy?

Arsenal

Arsenal’s boss, Mikel Arteta has warned that he and the Chelsea boss are too young to get compared to the likes of the current Liverpool and Manchester City boss. Gunner’s boss guided Arsenal to their 14th FA Cup title in their history after beating their city rivals Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday. A brilliant Aubameyang double was enough for Arteta’s side to win the major silverware along with qualifying for next season’s UEFA Europa League. Arteta praises Lampard for his legendary career as a player and hopes he has shown promises to become a top manager in the coming years.

What Were The Initial Comparison?

“About Frank as a player, absolutely top. Think the consistency he was able to play for that many years in the position he plays at such a big club and doing what he did was incredible. Big credit to him on that.”

“As a manager, he has shown since Derby the kind of ambition and person he has and the way he encourages his team to play. We are both young, both trying to learn our position so I would not like to compare to the two managers you mention.”

Arteta brought 'values back' to Arsenal but has harder job of ...

“It generates trust when you are winning titles. Generates moments when together you go through good emotions. It brings everyone together, you have memories, there is a lot of things about winning a trophy that is so positive for any group and when you are in a process it makes it even more important.”

Arteta took over a side in November which was struggling in the middle of the season after Unai Emery’s dismissal. Finishing in the top half of the table looked the only possible option at that time for the Gunners in one of their worst seasons in history.

The Story Further Ahead About The Incidents

Since then the Spaniard has guided them winning the FA Cup. This will now confirm their spot in next season’s Europa League. That will be a big financial boost for the London club. Asked about the difference between winning the FA Cup and the Champions League football, Arteta says it is only a big step going forward. He added that the club is doing their best to redevelop the squad for next season.

“It is a good start. Thank you so much for all the time being so supportive, from the reception I got on the first day. When I walked through this incredible door I completely understood that the needs of this football club are so high.”

“I know the demands and expectations. It is a trophy, it is absolutely for them to take, to enjoy to be proud of the club they support and the players that they always cheer for. Hopefully, they can enjoy it together, maintain the distance please and enjoy it because it is all yours.”

What Mikel Arteta Said After The FA Cup Win?

After winning the FA Cup, Mikel Arteta admits he knew what are the expectations of the supporters of this club. He further added that he will do everything to save the legacy of Arsenal.

“Yes, I knew the challenges I was facing the day I made a decision to come here and the expectation that we’re always going to have because the history and the legacy of this football club are incredible.”

“Here is the first one. Let us enjoy it today. We know there is a long way to go to improve on many other things but it’s something that I am very proud of, how we have changed a lot of things since we joined.”
