Arsenal Fans Were Angry About This Post Doing The Rounds On Social Media

Arsenal

The Arsenal fans are really buzzing all over Social Media after their team picked up their second win of the new campaign. Though they did end up losing the tie against Liverpool in the third fixture, not all was lost. The league has continued to amaze the fans in ways that were surely unimaginable.

From refereeing errors to some spectacular finishes, the games are going thick and fast. Things have been going good for the Gunners in recent times. There has been a lot of improvement at the club, since the arrival of Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.

What Did Arsenal Do In The Transfer Window?

The north London giants have had a decent transfer window as well. They have signed six key players, veteran and young, who can really help their first-team ambitions in the upcoming season. These players must surely be the right kind of stars that the Spaniard needs.

There is no doubt that Arteta is very choosy about the kind of stars that he gets. So, for sure, he will now have signed the right kind of players that he needs.

Which Was The Fake Post Doing The Rounds On Social Media?

With that being said, there was a fake post doing the rounds in recent times. This is was just prior to the summer transfer window shutting down.

It showcased a post of Arsenal’s official Twitter page. The account asked a question to the fans. The question was, “Who should we announce next Partey or Aouar?”

Facts About This Social Media Post

The fact of the matter is that this post was doing rounds on Twitter and Facebook, once the north London giants had signed centre-back Gabriel. It was a troll post, which is quite obvious. The fans were annoyed at that time, as the Londoners were not signing any midfield option.

It was a well-known fact that the club was in need of getting in more midfield quality. A midfield general like Thomas Partey or a creative genius like Houssem Aouar would have really helped their cause.

What Happened Eventually For Arsenal In The Transfer Window?

At the end of the day, the English giants managed to sign Partey on deadline day from Atletico Madrid. It was quite a cheeky deal that was done at the last minute. The Spanish outfit may not have been particularly pleased about the way that Arsenal got things done.

On the other hand, Uruguayan international, Lucas Torreira moved the other way on loan. As confirmed by his agent recently, the contract does not have an option to buy the player. It is just a simple loan move, which ends at the end of the current campaign.

Though Diego Simeone and co. will not be too pleased by the entire situation and how things worked out, it is what it is. They will have to be content with what they got and hope for the best. Knowing the tactician that Simeone is, he can surely get the best out of his fellow South American.
