Leonardo Takes A Dig At Real Madrid Regarding Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain’s director Leonardo has slammed Real Madrid’s pursuit of Kylian Mbappe once again. This time for the method the Spanish giant has used.

Leonardo has once again expressed his displeasure with Real Madrid’s tactics in securing the services of Kylian Mbappe, as reported by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo. The Paris Saint-Germain sporting director believes that Los Blancos should be punished for their actions during a talk at the Festival dello Sport, according to the publication.

Transfer drama has developed into something of a soap opera, as has happened here. Real Madrid’s desire to acquire Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain has been well known, with the club has tried to do so on many occasions over the years.

In the summer transfer window, though, everything came to a head when the Spanish giants were hot on the trail of the 22-year-old until the very last minute before abandoning their chase.

The transfer saga that has been talked about for so long

Even though Leonardo has often criticised Real Madrid for their approach to the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion, the club’s interest in Mbappe has not faded. Earlier this summer, the PSG sports director stated that the Merengues’ tactics of contacting Mbappe were “illegal” and more recently, he alleged that they have shown a lack of respect for the youngster.

During a discussion at the Festival dello Sport, Leonardo said that Real Madrid should be penalised for their choice to openly speak to Kylian Mbappe. He also stated that he believes Real Madrid should be punished for their decision to publicly speak to Mbappe. He also said that PSG is still committed to signing Mbappe to an extension of his current contract.

“From Madrid, they deny it, but I believe that Real Madrid has been working on signing Mbappe for a long time,” the PSG president said. They have been talking about Mbappe in the media for the last two years. “This should be dealt with harshly.”

What Leonardo said about the French World Cup winner??

“I sense a lack of respect coming from Real Madrid. Mbappé is not just any player; he is regarded as one of the greatest players in the world. Kylian was discussed by the coach, the board and the Real Madrid players… I believe that is part of their strategy. Does not reflect well on the organisation.”

“We are thinking about extending Kylian Mbappe’s contract. Our plans have not been altered in any way. Kylian is a gem, and he is a great fit for Paris Saint-Germain. We have Kylian, Leo, and Ney on our team. We have never imagined the future of Paris Saint-Germain without Kylian Mbappe.”

It seems that Real Madrid’s pursuit of Kylian Mbappe will not be slowed down. That is as per the report coming in, according to the recent sources. PSG, on the other hand, are in a perilous situation. It is given the fact that he is nearing the end of his contract at Parc des Princes at the moment.
