Real Madrid is allegedly interested in acquiring Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe, who is 26-years-old and plays for the French club.
Presnel Kimpembe, according to a report by the Spanish source Defensa Central, has appeared on the radar of Real Madrid. There is the possibility of a future transfer being considered by the club. A possible replacement for key targets Jules Kounde and Pau Torres, the 26-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender is being watched by clubs interested in him.
Presnel Kimpembe has spent almost his entire professional career at Paris Saint-Germain. That is, with the exception of three years spent with AS Eragny in the French league. When he initially joined Les Parisiens’ academy in 2005, the French defender made rapid progress through the ranks of the youth system. It was before receiving his first call-up to the first-team roster in 2014.
While he originally ranked behind Thiago Silva and Marquinhos in terms of playing time, the 26-year-old has now established himself as a key member of the PSG squad, making 192 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions and contributing with a goal and an assist each. At the same time, he has established himself as a regular for the French national team and is on the radar of many European powerhouses, including Real Madrid.
After losing both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane during the previous summer transfer window, Real Madrid made a curious decision to bring in just one defensive addition in the shape of David Alaba to compensate for the losses. The former Bayern Munich great is capable of playing as a left-back, so Carlo Ancelotti does not have a dearth of quality central defensive alternatives at his disposal.

Indeed, although Eder Militao is expected to have a bright future at Real Madrid, Nacho is already on the wrong side of thirty. He should only be utilised as a backup option at this point. The Merengues must recruit a centre-back as soon as possible. Jules Kounde and Pau Torres are apparently among their top targets.
In addition, Los Blancos have their eyes set on a few other central defenders. They have been keeping a close eye on them throughout the current transfer window. The likes of Aymeric Laporte and Dayot Upamecano are among the players being pursued by Real Madrid. Presnel Kimpembe is emerging as another major target.
His age of 26 makes him a realistic target for the Spanish giants. That is, with the possibility of arriving at the Bernabeu at the height of his abilities. In the meanwhile, Real Madrid’s relationship with Paris Saint-Germain has deteriorated. This is a result of their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe. It remains to be seen if the Spanish giants will be successful in their chase of the French international.
