Arsenal Initiate Talks With Liverpool Target; Who Will Sign Him?

Arsenal has allegedly spoken to Fiorentina about the possibility of signing star striker Dusan Vlahovic during the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Arsenal has made contact with Fiorentina about the possibility of bringing striker Dusan Vlahovic to the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window. A fee of about €80m has been mentioned for the forward, which the Gunners have apparently agreed to pay.

Dusan Vlahovic will take to the field against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Saturday, hoping to cause more issues for the Bianconeri than they already have. It would also provide the Serie A heavyweights with the opportunity to assess a striker who they are particularly interested in.

Arsenal: The one crucial difference between Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp projects

Several top teams in England and Europe have shown an interest in the Serb as a result of his achievements last season and so far this season. Manchester City has been linked with a move after failing to sign Harry Kane during the summer transfer window and finishing their transfer business without bringing in a new forward.

Tottenham was also interested in him during the summer transfer window and was considering using him to replace Harry Kane if the England captain decided to leave the club. With technical director Fabio Paratici heading the campaign with new manager Antonio Conte, Tottenham is still enthusiastic and interested in making a bid for the club in the summer of 2021.

Arsenal have already made their initial approach to Vlahovic

Arsenal, on the other hand, is said to have made the initial approach in order to ignite a potential transfer fight. The Gunners were interested in Vlahovic during the summer transfer window, as they were looking for a successor for Alex Lacazette. However, the north Londoners have now made contact with Fiorentina in order to discuss a potential January transfer.

Arsenal is prepared to pay the €80m asking price purportedly offered by Fiorentina, which includes bonuses and performance-related rewards if they get the player. While it is believed that Fiorentina would be open to receiving an offer from Arsenal, it is also possible that the club would also consider bids from other teams interested in the star.

In spite of the fact that a transfer in January is very feasible, Vlahovic has indicated that he is ready to wait for other offers to come in before making a decision on his future location. Although it implies that the Serbian striker is uninterested in the Gunners, it does suggest he would want to inspect the contents of his table before making his decision.

SERIE A - Juventus in pole position to sign Dusan Vlahovic

Vlahovic’s contract will end in 2023

With his contract ending in 2023, Fiorentina is anxious to get the most money possible for their greatest asset, and this is especially true in the month of January. If he continues with the club until next summer, his current market worth may decrease since he has made it plain that he does not want to sign a new deal with the Serie A club.

Arsenal is on the rise under Mikel Arteta, and their attackers are in fine form at the time of writing. Lacazette, on the other hand, is likely to depart the club in the summer when his contract ends, and Eddie Nketiah is also a possibility. Meanwhile, Arsenal is looking for a long-term replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has reached the age of thirty.

When it comes to athletic and aerial ability, Vlahovic most likely matches the Gunners’ requirements. In addition to being an aggressive striker, he has shown a dangerous presence in front of goal, and his prolific record in the previous 18 months in Serie A has encouraged Arsenal to part with €80m if the player becomes available for sale in the near future.
